What’s An Abomination Anyway?

Rev 17:4  And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: 

‘abomination’ = a foul thing, a detestable thing,1a) of idols and things pertaining to idolatry [Thayer’s Greek Definitions]

‘filthiness of her fornication’ [Thayer’s Greek Def.] = impurity, illicit sexual intercourse, 1a) adultery, fornication, homosexuality, lesbianism, intercourse with animals etc. 1b) sexual intercourse with close relatives; Lev. 18 1c) sexual intercourse with a divorced man or woman; Mar_10:11-12 2) metaphorically the worship of idols, 2a) of the defilement of idolatry, as incurred by eating the sacrifices offered to idols (as in taking of the wafer or ‘host’ of communion in the Catholic church?) Is the communion wafer or host in any way connected to worship of Molech [1] or other false god? A golden cup” = [Thayer Definition] 1) a cup, a drinking vessel 2) metaphorically one’s lot or experience, whether joyous or adverse, divine appointments, whether favourable or unfavourable, are likened to a cup which God presents one to drink: so of prosperity and adversity. 

Jer 51:7  Babylon hath been a golden cup in the LORD’S hand, ‘cup’ = often figuratively a lot (as if a potion); also some unclean bird, probably an owl (perhaps from the cup like cavity of its eye): – cup, (small) owl. [Strong’s Concordance] One’s ‘lot’ in life means one’s fate, what one has been handed.

The significance for Roman Catholics today in participating each week in the purely pagan ritual of celebrating the Eucharist of cannibalism offered to demons, has its own special significance. Whether you want to know it or not, Catholics are paying homage to the supreme demonic deities of the Catholic Church, the real gods hidden behind the facades of false worship.” [2] 

God told me very clearly one time after I had communion at a local Catholic shrine, that He didn’t want me doing that, for it was “an Abomination to Him!” In obedience to His Voice, I haven’t partaken of communion since that day God spoke so clearly to me. I wonder why it is that so many Christians don’t seem to have heard this pronouncement. At any rate, it’s clear that this ‘woman’ (a woman in Scripture used in this context is always referring to a church or a religious body) is full of ‘abominations, filthiness, fornication, idolatry and more. 1Ki 14:24  And there were also sodomites in the land: and they did according to all the abominations of the nations which the LORD cast out before the children of Israel. 

Jdg 19:22  Now as they were making their hearts merry, behold, the men of the city, certain sons of Belial, beset the house round about, and beat at the door, and spake to the master of the house, the old man, saying, Bring forth the man that came into thine house, that we may know him. (‘know’ = to know a person carnally in this instance)
Jdg 19:23  And the man, the master of the house, went out unto them, and said unto them, Nay, my brethren, nay, I pray you, do not so wickedly; seeing that this man is come into mine house, do not this folly. 
Jdg 19:24  Behold, here is my daughter a maiden, and his concubine; them I will bring out now, and humble ye them, and do with them what seemeth good unto you: but unto this man do not so vile a thing. 

‘sons of Belial’ = notice how God calls those who do this ‘vile’ acts are ‘sons of Belial’ – meaning the demonic spirit behind the acts, the demon who moves people to do them, is none other than Belial himself!
‘Belial’ = worthlessness, base, wicked
‘wickedly’ = bad, evil, injurious, displeasing, broken to pieces
‘know’ = in this instance means to know a person ‘carnally’ (or sexually)
‘vile’ = profane and immoral acts, disgraceful [Brown-Driver-Briggs Dictionary]
‘folly’ = same as vile.

We can see that God considers acts of sodomy to be ‘vile’ and ‘wicked,’ and that the demonic influence or demon spirit behind all such acts, be it sodomy or any other sexual perversion, is the principality Belial. 

Leviticus 18:22 – “Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.” Leviticus 20:13  – “If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.” PLEASE NOTE THAT I DO NOT ADVOCATE VIOLENCE OF ANY KIND AGAINST GAYS OR LESBIANS, ETC!! I include this verse only to show how seriously offensive this behavior was (and is) to God who gave the Law to Moses, and although we live in an age of Grace, there are still penalties for sin. Continuous illness and other troubles often plague habitual sinners, even Christians suffer in this way due to non-repentance of various sins. In addition, after the second resurrection of the unrighteous dead, Judgment will be meted to those who never repented of their sinning and never turned to Jesus Christ for forgiveness (Rev 21:7  & 28). The ‘putting to death’ of those who committed certain sins under the old covenant was done to keep the rest of the congregation from becoming corrupted. “The purity of God’s people in the Promised Land was vitally important, as was the continuance of bloodlines (one of which would lead to the Messiah). That is why God demanded the death penalty for those who engaged in homosexual intercourse.” [3] God wanted a HOLY people to call His own, and He hasn’t changed His mind about that – all who are called by His Name, are to be holy, as He is holy – Lev 20:26  You are to be holy to Me, for I, Adonai, am holy, and have set you apart from the peoples, so that you would be Mine. [TLV]  1Th 4:7  For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness. Eph 5:3  But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints. The application for today’s Christian communities, is that within their gates, sin is to be disciplined and eradicated, not accepted as normal! 1Co 5:13  But those who are outside, God judges. Put away the wicked fellow from among yourselves

God takes sin seriously! Homosexuals are not doing right in His eyes, neither are Lesbians – Rom 1:26  For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature….

Should we as Christians allow ourselves to be swayed by public opinion and the laws of the state that say there’s nothing wrong with Sodomy and other perverse sexual acts, when our Lord and Savior said otherwise? Are we to obey man’s law and thumb our noses at God’s law? 

Act 5:29  Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men. Gal 1:10  For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ. Jas 4:4  Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. Simply put: If you’re a friend of the world then you cannot be a friend of God or of Christ. Apostle Paul in his epistle to the Church at Corinth – 1Co 5:9  I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators: Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world. But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat. 

Eph 5:11  And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. 

Definition of reprove = confute, admonish: – convict, convince, tell a fault, rebuke, reprove. Definition of rebuke = express sharp disapproval or criticism of (someone) because of their behavior or actions, bring correction, scold. fellowship = From G4862 and G2841; to share in company with, that is, co-participate in: – communicate (have fellowship) with, be partaker of.

Did you get that? Christians are not only to not eat and have fellowship with fornicators, covetous, idolaters, etc., in the Church, but we are to tell them that what they’re doing is wrong in a ‘spirit of meekness’ – Gal 6:1 Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. God’s desires the full restoration of every soul! 2 Pet 3:9. Instead, what’s happening in most of our churches these days is that all manner of uncleanness is welcomed and accepted as being normal. Rom 1:32  Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. 

“judgment” = condemnation of wrong, the sentence of a judge, the punishment with which one is sentenced
“death” = the misery of the soul arising from sin, which begins on earth but lasts and increases after the death of the body in hell
‘have pleasure’ = From G4862 and G2106; to think well of in common, that is, assent to, feel gratified with: – allow, assent, be pleased, have pleasure.

Isn’t that exactly what most Christian churches are doing these days – allowing and assenting to (agreeing with) behavior which Christ condemns in His Word?

2Co 6:14  Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 
2Co 6:15  And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? 
2Co 6:16  And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 
2Co 6:17  Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. *Note that any words you see in the Bible that are in gray italics were added by translators and were not in the original manuscripts.

unclean = morally (lewd) or specifically (demonic)): – foul, unclean. [Strong’s Concordance Def.]

It’s plain as day that believers in Christ, who Paul was addressing in these passages, are to get away from everything that’s unclean and unholy. God calls the act of Sodomy an “unclean, vile, foul, detestable, idolatrous ABOMINATION! In fact, anything that is worshiped other than the true God, is Idolatry according to the Bible, God’s Word. I guess that would include the holy communion ‘wafer’ which Catholics worship (adore) in the Catholic Mass. No, that tiny wafer is not Christ anymore than a plaster statue of Mary is really Mary. Those bowing down to the Eucharist in adoration are adoring a piece of bread that’s supposed to be the literal flesh of Christ via Transubstantiation [4], which is an Abomination! Sadly, many Catholics don’t read their bibles or have a personal relationship with God but unquestioningly believe whatever their priest tells them. Dear Catholic, if you’re reading this, please read a non-Catholic version of the bible and pray for understanding and for revelation. In the bible you’ll see that no man on earth has greater authority than God, even though the Pope makes such a claim [5] and ONLY God has the power to forgive men’s sins! 

Those who speak out against the LGBT and Rainbow movements are called “haters.” I know some will read this article and accuse me of not being compassionate or loving but which is more loving, telling someone the truth so that their soul may be saved, or keeping quiet so it ends up in Hell? Eph 5:5  For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Eph 5:6  Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. Eph 5:7  Be not ye therefore partakers with them. ⇐ Paul was telling Christians not to be partakers with those who commit these sins, and those listed in the following verse. 

Co 6:9  Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 

“Same sex sins are listed along with other sins such as fornication, idolatry, covetousness and drunkenness. Same sex sins are dishonoring, repugnant sins but they are still forgivable. Surely, we have all been covetous at some point in our life, but that does not mean we are automatically going to hell. Scripture is not talking about a single event or many acts of sin, but an ongoing pattern of sin. God is talking about those who never come to Jesus and by the power of the Holy Spirit turn from their sin. We cannot do this on our own. We are totally dependent on God to stop.

1 Timothy 1:10. Same sex sins are not an acceptable, alternative lifestyle either. It is sin. Here is another passage.

But we know that the Law is good, if one uses it lawfully, realizing the fact that law is not made for a righteous man, but for those who are lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers and immoral men and homosexuals and kidnappers and liars and perjurers . . . (NASB) 1 Timothy 1:8-11

It is clear that homosexuality is not the result of biological heredity. It is sin. God did not make these men and women homosexuals from birth. At its root, homosexuality flows out of the sinful nature of the individual given to it. It is a result of a rejection of God at some point in life. [6]

Not only is homosexuality NOT just another sin, it serves in the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, as the primary symbol of end-stage rebellion against God triggering the outpouring of His wrath.  Moreover, the challenge to Biblical orthodoxy represented by an increasingly militant pro-homosexual culture serves as a key litmus test for whether believers will stand with God or the Antichrist in the last days.

It is incumbent upon remnant believers to warn the church against the heresy of “gay theology” and to boldly and forcefully advocate for the Biblical worldview on sexuality and the one-flesh paradigm. [7]

Therefore, let’s not allow ourselves to be swayed by men’s opinions. More importantly, let’s not allow ourselves to betray the One who gave His life for us so that we could be FREED not only from our sins, but from enslavement to the opinions of men that go against God’s heart, teachings, and laws. Joh 8:36  If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. Our “liberty” is not the same liberty the world talks about, which is nothing more than license to sin in every way possible! 

Dear reader, if you or someone you know is in bondage to sin THERE IS HOPE in Jesus Christ who alone can deliver you. All you need do is turn to Him in repentance with Faith, believing that He can set you free from any sin. Ask Him to save you, and He will do it. Rom 10:9  That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Testimonies of ex-homosexuals and lesbians [8].

So, fellow believer, let’s walk in the LIBERTY given to us by Christ by which we’ve been set free from the world and its opinions to follow “every word of God” whereby we have LIFE! – Mat 4:4 ….It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Rom 6:22  But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.  

May we be BOLD in our witness, and faithfully REPROVE the “works of darkness” until Shiloh (an epithet of the Messiah) comes again! Amen.

America is modern day SODOM. Bibles are being rewritten to remove language which criticizes certain life-styles.

    I looked it up and want to comment that my experience with the bible changes has been with the NIV. Has to do with copyrights, I understand. I like Bible Gateway because I can read five versions at once if I want to – and I especially like being able to print out every English translation for any particular passage. My favorite right now is TLV, (Tree of Life) – I love how it reads and how it is divided up with subheads. I still check it against KJV usually. It is a shame we can’t trust what it says without becoming scholars ourselves.

    One of my favorite things about your writing is your use of the numbers from Strong’s Concordance. I have found it necessary to retranslate much of it myself.

    This is getting long and I feel like I’m not getting to the point, so I want to throw in this about Esau and that bowl of soup: I think of that as the second eating disorder. He gave up his birthright for food. Our birthright included good health before Eve and the apple, (the first eating disorder).
    There is much more going on there than we have ever explored thoroughly.

    The past couple of years my husband and I both have become fans of Rabbi Jonathan Cahn (The Paradigm and other best sellers), and Rabbi Schneider (The Jewish Jesus). So we have learned quite a bit about Jewish Festivals. So I’m going to reconsider communion in light of Passover.

    A Christian denomination church I attended as a teenager had communion every Sunday, and a non-denominational church later on never did do communion. The Methodist are doing it the first Sunday and the Baptist never are. Go figure. So I agree with you.

      Yes, while that’s true, what I was referring to is something else. While there are many translations of the Bible now, having various word changes and so forth, what I was referring to very specifically, is what’s called the “Mandella Effect,” which has nothing to do with “copyrights” or translations. It is the complete changing of words and phrases from what they’ve always been. One example – what was always “wine skins” is now “bottles” [Mt 9:17, Mk 2:22, Lk 5:37] – and these changes are occurring in the actual PRINTED TEXT not just in successive publications!       RE my usage of the “bowl of soup” – a principle is involved here that’s rarely spoken of or taught in our churches, and that’s one of the Christian believer’s “birthright.” As in the Genesis account, Esau “sold” his birthright to Jacob for a “bowl of pottage” (or soup) because he was very hungry after coming in from working in the fields.

      Gen 25:30  And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage; for I am faint: therefore was his name called Edom. 
      Gen 25:31  And Jacob said, Sell me this day thy birthright. 
      Gen 25:32  And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me? 
      Gen 25:33  And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob.

      In the New Testament:
      Heb 12:16  Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright. 

      Reason I applied this reference to churches becoming state incorporated, is that they are “selling out” the “rights” of Christ’s Body in exchange for a gift of money. The parallel between them and Esau is that Esau sold his birthright for some soup while the church is selling their birthright for monetary gain. Same principle.

      The “birthright” of Christ’s Body is the authority to rule and reign with Christ, having been given the “keys” to His Kingdom [Mt 16:19, 2 Tim 2:12, Rev 20:6]. It’s also the right to become the Sons of God – Php 2:15  That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; Rom 8:19  For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. 1Jn 3:2  Beloved, now are we the sons of God, And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure. 

      The Church is to be a “separate” entity “set apart” (sanctified) from the rest of the world – Psa 4:3  But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: Joh 15:19  If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world,

      Therefore the Church is slapping God in the face so to speak, when it JOINS with the world in its debauchery. In light of God’s word which is truth, do you think that any church should become a state-incorporated 501c3 church?

    The Methodist church we currently attend are about to vote on having homosexual pastors and same sex marriages.

      Thank you for taking the time to thoughtfully read my post and ask some tough, but good questions re this abominable trend in our churches presently. I believe God’s Word is clear re how He feels about it.

      How can anyone put credence in the teaching/preaching of leadership in the Church when it isn’t keeping God’s Word? Many are “twisting” or outright “changing” God’s Word where and when it suits their political and/or personal agenda! In fact, something (supernatural?) IS changing the wording in our bibles, especially the King James Version, a phenomenon called “The Mandela Effect” which you can Google. It’s not a hoax, I have noticed many such “changes” in my printed bible(s) at home.

      Leaders lead by example. Errant leadership in the Church will cause the spiritual and moral collapse of the Church in time. Hasn’t God said, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. [Rev 18:4]

      Sadly, many (if not most) churches are caving into pressure from various social factions and the government who now owns them per their 501c3 CORPORATE status. Such churches have to ‘toe the (corporate) line’ and do what they’re told by their OWNER who isn’t the Lord Jesus Christ anymore but rather the STATE! In short, churches are ‘selling out’ their Master for a “bowl of soup” [Gen 25:29]. It’s all leading up to something, but this reply is getting too long so I’ll have to save that for a future post.

      As for whether or not Communion is an Abomination in every church or just the Catholic Church (great question), I have no answer at present, but will be inquiring of the Lord about it. The last time I had communion was about four or five years ago. When I get the answer I will post it here. Until then, here are some of my thoughts on the matter –

      Maybe the reason God told me not to partake of communion at a Catholic church, was because of a Catholic doctrine called Transubstantiation, which is the belief that the communion bread and wine become the literal flesh and blood of Christ by the priest’s blessing (prayer). Drinking blood is prohibited in Leviticus 17:14 “You will not consume the blood of any creature, for the life of every creature is its blood, and anyone who consumes it will be outlawed [cut off].” But the main objection may be that the Catholic communion is a perpetual sacrifice which contradicts the scriptures – Heb 7:27  Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people’s: for this he did once, when he offered up himself. Heb 9:12  Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. Heb 10:11  And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: Heb 10:12  But this man (Jesus), after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; 

      I think those verses are clear enough and settles the matter that Jesus only had to be offered up ONCE or ONE TIME for the sins of mankind – FOREVER! He does not need to be offered up ‘daily,’ weekly, monthly, yearly, or ever again! “It is finished!” Jesus said just before He breathed His last breath – [John 19:30]

      It’s also possible that Jesus didn’t institute communion for Christians in the way it has been adopted by the Church. The Last Supper was a Passover meal and it’s possible that what He wanted his disciples to observe was the annual Passover in which they would “remember” His dying for them in the “breaking” of the Passover bread and remember the shedding of His Blood in the drinking of wine (symbolizes blood) from the Passover “cup.” If you study the elements of the Passover meal, you’ll see that the flat bread used has “stripes” all across it’s surface, which stand for the “stripes” with which Jesus was flogged and by which we “are healed” [Isa 53:46 & 1 Pet 2:24] There are other parallels between the Passover elements and the passion of Christ, more for another post.

      Lin, re that other issue, I’ll be praying that your church casts its votes for the cause of Jesus Christ. If it’s a 501c3 incorporated church, that will pose a problem most likely, for which there may be no recourse except to leave it and find a church that isn’t state run.

      I believe I have found an answer to your question: “Is communion an Abomination in every Christian denomination or in just the Catholic church?”

      A couple points to keep in mind as you read the contents of the links provided here, Jesus himself stated that He was going to keep the Passover meal with His disciples [Luke 22:15] before His death, the Jews won’t eat leavened bread on any of the days of the Passover week, and the bread broken at the Last Supper HAD to be UNLEAVENED bread because Jesus stated that IT was a symbol of HIS broken body for the life of those who would partake of it. Unleavened bread is always a symbol of non-corruption, purity; which only the Blood of Jesus could be if it were to atone for the sins of mankind. With all that, plus the following in depth studies on this topic, I believe the Last Supper was indeed a Passover Meal which Jesus kept with His disciples, and that the Bread he blessed and BROKE was unleavened bread, made without leavening or yeast.

      I further believe that Communion as it is practiced in churches today, both Catholic and non-Catholic, is not what was intended by Jesus’s instruction to His first disciples, but is a rite that the first Catholic church borrowed from ancient Babylonian and Greek Mystery religions – In order to accommodate pagans into the new Roman Empire religion, the practices and rituals of the Mystery Religions were modified to suit Christianity. The Ritual of Communion was a ritual called ‘Omophagia’. In the Greek mysteries, Dionysus (or Bacchus – his Babylonian counterpart), was one of the main deities. His birth was celebrated on December 25. He was the god of wine. His followers, called “Bacchants” , celebrated the communion ritual of Dionysus by crushing the fruit of the vine and drinking the scarlet lifeblood pressed from its flesh. They also dismembering the animal which represented Dionysus (the bull), and worshipers would tear the bull to pieces with their hands and teeth. By practicing “Omophagia” (the dismemberment of the sacrificial victim and eating the flesh and drinking the blood), it was believed the worshiper absorbed the nature, or life of the god into his own. Thus, having consumed the flesh of the bull and the wine representing Dionysus, the worshipers took on his power and character. This was a communion in the god’s own body and blood – to become like the god, they had to consume the god.

      The second century Church took this concept and adapted it to ‘Jesus’. For this reason, the miracle of communion was that the symbols of ‘Jesus’, the bread and wine, were believed to literally become his flesh and blood. This is called “transubstantiation”, and is a belief of Catholics to this day.

      Although the Protestant Church rejected ‘transubstantiation’, they kept the communion ritual, declaring that in the bread and wine, the believer partakes spiritually in the flesh and blood of the god. There are three main doctrines of the Communion rite within Christianity:

      The New Testament has something to say about the “breaking of bread” and what it meant, which is what we in the Body of Christ today should go by – 1 Corinthians 10:16b the bread that we break—is it not the fellowship of the body of the Christ? 1 Corinthians 10:17 Since there is one bread, we who are many are one body; for we all partake of the one bread. This is the bread that we break; it is the spiritual fellowship in the spiritual body. As we partake of Christ in and through one another as members of his spiritual body, we are becoming the pattern that God wants for us. The twelve breads that came from the people’s wheat offerings represented the twelve tribes of Israel, and the priests would partake of these twelve breads and receive nourishment from them. So in the same sense, we—as the pieces of the one bread that make up the one spiritual body of Christ—partake of spiritual food in and through one another and receive spiritual nourishment “by that which every joint supplies.” This causes the growth of the body “for the building up of itself in love” (Ephesians 4:16 above).
