What I Believe

I believe there’s but one true God, “I AM,” who has always existed and always will. He’s the eternal Father and Maker of the Universe and everything and everyone in it. I believe that Jesus Christ is his only Begotten Son (Jn 3:16), born of the Holy Spirit (his seed was not of human sperm), and took on a human fleshly body in the womb of a virgin named Mary – Mt 1:18, 20.

When he was ready, he was baptized in water by John the Baptist to prepare him for ministry – Mt 3:13, 16. Jesus worked many miracles and preached the Kingdom of God among the people, and was loved by many, but hated by the sect of the Pharisees. When his time was come, they led him away to be crucified on a cross, not for any wrong he had committed, but because they were jealous of his popularity with people, and felt their authority with them was threatened. His sinless blood paid the ransom for the souls of men and by his blood their sins are washed away, forgiven, absolved. Jesus was buried and arose three days later – 1 Cor 15:4, Mt 10:34, 16:21; Lk 13:32 & 33, 24:7, 20-26. After Jesus ascended back to his Father, he sent his Holy Spirit to live inside those who believed in him, that they too might work the works that he did – Mt 10:7&8, Mk 16:15, 17&18.

All men are born sinners – Rms 3:23, 5:12 Therefore, as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin; and so death passed unto all men, for that all sinned: Because of this, no man or woman can be saved or enter the Kingdom of Heaven unless he/she is “born again” or born from above by the Spirit of God – John 3:3-8, John 3:16.

No one can come to the Father except through his Son, Jesus Christ – John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. In order to be saved from God’s wrath to come, everyone must repent of their sinning, receive Jesus as their savior, and be cleansed of their sin nature – John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath eternal life; but he that obeyeth not the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abideth on him.

As soon as a person believes on Jesus and repents of sin, he/she is regenerated, baptized into Christ, receives forgiveness and cleansing of his/her sins – Mt 3:6, Mk 1:4, Lk 3:3, Jn 3:18, Acts 19:3&4, 1 Pet 3:21, Tit 3:5. This is also called being “born again” – John 3:3-5. With reference to FUTURE SINS in a believer’s life, I do not support nor teach the errant UNCONDITIONAL ETERNAL SECURITY doctrine! There are too many CONDITIONAL scriptures in the New Testament that say otherwise; Mt 6:14-15, 10:33, 18:34-35; 1 John 1:8-10; 1 Jn 2:3-4. A believer must continue in a lifestyle of obedience to God’s commands and of continual confession with repentance when he fails to do so. Here’s a sobering verse – Php 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

Water baptism is a symbol to show one has been regenerated and died to their old sinful life (symbolized by full submersion in water), and are raised with him (symbolized by coming up out of the water) who is now seated at the right hand of his Father in heavenly places – Rms 6:3-14, Cols 2:12.

There is however, a second baptism of the Holy Spirit, which is not a symbolic, but a literal submersion in the Holy Spirit to endow the believer with spiritual gifts, power to witness, and power over the enemy – Acts 1:8,15, 11:16; Lk 3:16, John 1:33.

Every born again man or woman has been given the keys to the Kingdom, and it’s their duty to execute judgment and correction in Christ’s Body on earth – Mt 16:19.

The lack of church discipline today is causing the members to slip further and deeper into all manner of sin because of this liberality. The church surely needs reforming in this and other crucial areas, for ‘without holiness, no man will see the LORD’ – Heb 12:14.

Many church assemblies are not only accepting but condoning sins the Bible condemns. They call themselves, “seeker-friendly” and hang signs outside their gates that say, “We are an affirmative church” which means they won’t confront you with your sins and will fully accept you into their membership, regardless of your sexual orientation and what God’s Word says about it – Rms 1:24 &7.

The Scriptures are “God-breathed,” thus they’re words man can trust and live by – Mt 4:4, Lk 4:4, 2 Titus 3:16, Ps 119:130.

I believe in life after death, and all who receive the Son of God, Jesus Christ have eternal life – John 3:15, 5:24, 8:51, 11:25;1 John 5:13.

I believe that God alone holds the keys of life and death, for he has conquered hell, death, and the grave! – Rms 6:9, Heb 2:14, Rev 1:18.  Jesus “tasted death for all men” – Heb 2:9, 14, Phil 2:8.

I believe that Jesus Christ is coming a second time to the earth to gather his elect unto his throne, and to destroy the wicked – 2 Thess 2:1, Mark 13:27.

Then will the Kingdom of Heaven be set up and established upon the Earth for 1000 years called the Millennium. During that time, the resurrected saints will rule and reign with Christ on the earth. After that period, Satan the Dragon and his demon hoard will be let out of their prison for a short season to deceive the world once more (Rev 20:7&8), but he will be overcome. The Lord of Hosts will completely crush Satan and his angels, and cast them and all unrepentant mankind, into the Lake of Fire – Rev 9:20-21,19:20, 20:8-10&15.

I believe in the resurrection of all the dead; the first resurrection is of the righteous dead – Rev 20:4-6, John 5:28&29, Dan 12:2. The rest of the dead won’t be judged until after Satan is ‘loosed’ again, at the end of the Millennium – Rev 20:7&8. Books will be opened to judge the works or deeds of them all – Rev 20:12-15. After the Devil and his angels (demons) are destroyed, the smoke of their burning will rise forever, but the righteous will shine like the stars in heaven forever – Rev 14:11, Dan 12:2&3.

There will be no more dying, sorrow, suffering, nor lack once the New Jerusalem comes down from above to the earth, when the Father and Son will dwell forever with the Redeemed – Rev 21:2-4.

This is my statement of faith, in short. The Bible, God’s Word, is rich and deep having many layers of revelation; we can never come to an end of discovering its treasures. Because of this, I’m able to change my position on any doctrine when new light is shown me. I do not claim that my writings are error free, for no one can do that. I’ve asked the Lord to cover any errors I may make, and I exhort you to search out the Scriptures for yourself and compare all writings to them. I also welcome suggestions and comments.
