What is the Kingdom of God?

Rom 14:17  for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. [RV]

righteousness = Thayer’s Def’s. 1b) integrity, virtue, purity of life, rightness, correctness of thinking feeling, and acting

*Notice that not only are our actions righteous or unrighteous but also our thoughts and feelings.

righteousness – This word here means “virtue, integrity,” a faithful discharge of all the duties which we owe to God or to our fellow-men. It means that the Christian must so live as to be appropriately denominated a righteous man, and not a man whose whole attention is absorbed by the mere ceremonies and outward forms of religion. To produce this, we are told, was the main design, and the principal teaching of the gospel; Tit_2:12; Compare Rom_8:13; 1Pe_2:11. Thus, it is said 1Jn_2:29, “Everyone that doeth righteousness is born of God;” 1Jn_3:10, “Whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God;” compare 1Jn_3:7; 1Co_15:34; 2Co_3:9; 2Co_6:7, 2Co_6:14; Eph_5:9; Eph_6:14; 1Ti_6:11; 1Pe_2:24; Eph_4:24. He that is a righteous man, whose characteristic it is to lead a holy life, is a Christian. [Albert Barnes’ Notes on the Bible]

Mat 7:21  “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord!’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
Mat 7:22  Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, didn’t we prophesy in Your name, and drive out demons in Your name, and perform many miracles in Your name?’
Mat 7:23  Then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you. Get away from Me, you workers of lawlessness!’” [Tree of Life Version]

kingdom = Thayer Definition: 1) royal power, kingship, dominion, rule
lawlessness (iniquity) = Thayer Definition: 1) the condition of without law, 2) contempt and violation of law; iniquity, wickedness

The sense of this verse seems to be this: No person, by merely acknowledging my authority, believing in the Divinity of my nature, professing faith in the perfection of my righteousness, and infinite merit of my atonement, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven – shall have any part with God in glory; but he who doeth the will of my Father – he who gets the bad tree rooted up, the good tree planted, and continues to bring forth fruit to the glory and praise of God. [Adam Clarke’s Commentary on the Bible]

Not every one that saith … – The Saviour goes on to say that many, on the ground of a mere profession such as he had just referred to, would claim admittance into his kingdom. Many would plead that they had done miracles, and preached or prophesied much, and on the ground of that would demand an entrance into heaven. The power of working miracles had no necessary connection with piety. God may as well, if he chooses, give the power of raising the dead to a wicked man, as the skill of healing to a wicked physician. A miracle is a display “of his own power” through the medium of another. An act of healing the sick is also a display of “his power” through the agency of another. In neither of these cases is there any necessary connection with moral character. So of preaching or prophesying. God may use the agency of a man of talents, though not pious, to carry forward His purposes. Saving power on the mind is the work of God, and he may convey it by any agency which he chooses. Accordingly, many may be found in the day of judgment who may have been endowed with powers of prophecy or miracle, as Balaam or the magicians of Egypt; in the same way as many people of distinguished talents may be found, yet destitute of piety, and who will be shut out of his kingdom. See Mat_7:21; 1Co_1:26; 1Co_13:1-3. [Albert Barnes’ Notes on the Bible]

So true, so true. Many years ago the LORD showed me that just because a pastor and/or the leadership of a church has the gifts of the Holy Spirit operating in its midst, doesn’t necessarily mean those leaders are walking with God or are doing His will (obeying His instructions). Of all the churches I’ve attended most didn’t allow the operation of the gifts, except for two. Of those two, one allowed some of the gifts but restrained the Holy Spirit from working miracles. The Holy Spirit had told me that there were enough people in that church who had the faith to believe for miraculous healings but the pastor didn’t want that because he wouldn’t be in control! How hard it is for pastors to relinquish control unto God! In addition, the pastors of that church sometimes spent tithes and offerings on themselves and took money designated for one purpose and used it for another. When confronted with these offenses they refused to admit and repent of them. I dare say that those responsible for shackling the Holy Spirit and misusing funds were not walking according to God’s Torah (His commands) and were not bearing good “fruit” in everything, as some of their fruit was rotten.

Mat 12:33  Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit
Mat 12:36  But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
Mat 12:37  For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

Joh 15:8  In this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be My disciples.”

Then Yeshua began telling this parable: “A man had a fig tree he had planted in his vineyard, and he came looking for fruit on it and found none
Luk 13:7  So he said to the gardener, ‘Indeed, for three years I‘ve come searching for fruit on this fig tree and found none. Remove it! Why does it use up the ground?’
Luk 13:8  “But answering, the gardener said to him, ‘Master, leave it alone for this year also, until I dig around it and apply fertilizer.
Luk 13:9  And if it bears fruit, good. But if not, cut it down.’”

fruit = 2a) work, act, deed (includes words) [Thayer Greek Definitions] *Note that the tree (or person) which doesn’t bear fruit will in time be “cut down.”

Recently, I confronted a church about God’s Sabbath day which is the 7th day of the weekly cycle, not the 1rst day, which is Sunday. The holy scriptures bear this fact out in both the old and new testaments leaving no room for error. The leadership there is well-educated, some went to seminary (college to learn the bible) and yet they deny which day God sanctified (blessed/hallowed) as HIS sabbath. How can that be I asked myself – maybe you’re asking the same question right now. The only answer that comes to mind is, “the mystery of iniquity” is at work in such cases! — 2Th 2:7  For the mystery of lawlessness is already operating; only there is one who holds back just now, until he is taken out of the way. [TLV] *Lawlessness and iniquity are synonymous terms. Remember, the meaning of “iniquity” is “being without law; contempt and violation of the law (or Torah).” In the Torah we find that God’s Sabbath day was (and still is) the 7th day of the week, not the first. *Read Matthew 28:1-6, Luke 24:1, John 20:1, Luke 23:56, Exodus 20:10 and 34:21 for facts re God’s Sabbath day.

Some verses on the Kingdom of God for you to meditate on:

Mat 6:33  But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
Mat 12:28  But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.
Mat 16:28  Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom
Mat 18:3  And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven
Mat 18:4  Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven
Mat 19:13  Then little children were brought to Yeshua so that He might lay hands upon them and pray. Then the disciples rebuked those who brought them.
Mat 19:14  But Yeshua said, “Let the little children come to Me and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

Do you know why the kingdom belongs to the likes of little children? Because they are humble, trusting, and totally dependent upon their parents for their every need – the way believers in Christ should depend upon and humbly trust in Him.

*All the words of Jesus Christ are in red. All bolding and underlining added by me for emphasis.

Dear visitor, just so you know, this post is merely a starting point, a place for you to begin your own study on the subject of the Kingdom of God. I pray you will continue to study, that you may “walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God” – Col 1:10. [KJV]

THE STRAIT GATE vs. THE BROAD WAY

As Jesus travelled towards Jerusalem, passing through villages, He taught many along the way.
Luk 13:23  Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them,
Luk 13:24  Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
Luk 13:25  When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:
Luk 13:26  Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.
Luk 13:27  But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity
Luk 13:28  There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.

“iniquity” = “lawlessness, or a state of being without law.”
“strait gate” = “narrow” from the base of G2476; abide, appoint, bring, continue, covenant, establish, hold up, lay, present, set (up), stanch, stand (by, forth, still, up).

Strive — The word signifies to “contend” as for the mastery, to “struggle,” expressive of the difficulty of being saved, as if one would have to force his way in.

strait gate — another figure of the same.

for many … will seek — “desire,” that is, with a mere wish or slothful endeavor.
and shall not be able — because it must be made a life-and-death struggle. [Jamieson, Fausset, & Brown Commentary]

Confused? So was I when I first started comparing the teachings of Jesus to those of Paul the supposed 13th Apostle of Christ and saw a decided difference between them. Paul made salvation easy; all one has to do to be saved was to “believe” that Christ arose from the dead. Jesus taught that entering the kingdom of God would be “difficult,” the “way would be narrow!” Now, maybe Paul had good intentions and there’s some explanation for his departure from what Jesus taught, but if there is, I haven’t yet found one. All I can think is that maybe Paul was only addressing the extreme legalistic teachings of the Jewish priesthood at that time, but how can one excuse Paul’s changing God’s words in many old testament passages to the point where he makes the Law of God null and void? Refer to his article http://spirit-wind.org/paul-and-the-law/

Who should followers of Christ believe if not Jesus? Should they take Paul’s word and teachings over those of Jesus, the Son of God who died for all men and who alone has been given all authority in heaven and on earth? [Mt 28:18] Paul, however devoted or sincere he was, is NOT man’s savior – he was just a man and where his words conflict with those of the Savior’s, I for one will chose Jesus’s words over his every time.

God’s last “covenant” with His people Israel, was His Ten Commandments and the other 613 commands written in the book of Moses; together they are what’s called the Mosaic Code. The ONLY thing that was changed in this Covenant which God made with all Israel, was that far into the future God would “write His laws upon the hearts” of his people – Jer 31:31, 32 & 33

Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Jer 31:34  And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity (lawlessness), and I will remember their sin no more.

Thus, the so called “new covenant” is really a renewed covenant in which God’s law would be written upon men’s hearts, a covenant which won’t take full effect until the Millennium (when all will know God; Jer 31:34) begins when Jesus returns – [Mt. 24]. God’s laws have not been abolished, discontinued, or nailed to Christ’s Cross as some misinformed or dishonest ministers have taught. Mat 7:15  Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Don’t listen to men who tell you God’s law no longer stands so you can disregard it, for such are “wolves in sheep’s clothing,” dishonest, ravenous, greedy dogs interested only in your tithes and offerings, not your salvation! Have you never wondered how it is that ministers who teach that the ‘law’ is obsolete, DEMAND that you give to THEM tithes and offerings which were part of the very same law which they say has passed away??? Listen to the Holy Spirit (Ruach HaKodesh) who is with us to “lead us into all truth,” convict and comfort us –

Joh 16:13  Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. 1Jn 2:27  But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

Want more proof that obtaining salvation isn’t easy like Paul taught? You can take the “broad (easy) way” which leads to destruction, or you can enter through the “strait (narrow, difficult) gate” which leads to life. Jesus said “few” will find the way to life! Thus, it stands to reason that if entering God’s kingdom is so easy, why is it that “few” find the way to it?

Mat 7:13  Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
Mat 7:14  Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it
Mat 7:21  Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Mat 7:22  Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Mat 7:23  And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity

Entering into God’s kingdom doesn’t sound easy here either, and remember it was Jesus who spoke these words. Notice the term “iniquity” is repeated in vs. 23.

In this passage Jesus is speaking of those who claim to know Him and calling them workers of “iniquity” or “lawlessness,” the state of having no law, more specifically HIS LAW! Notice that Jesus doesn’t allow them entrance into His kingdom because they failed to take heed to His law. How little the modern church regards the law of God as outlined in what is inaccurately called the Old Testament making it sound outdated or obsolete. True, some parts of it are obsolete and non-binding upon believers in the New (renewed) Covenant, but there are still many parts of the previous covenant God made with Israel that are STILL VALID for believers today. Discerning which parts are and aren’t requires time and diligent study of the Scriptures, which sadly, many aren’t willing to do to their peril. – Hos 4:6  My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

Jesus requires OBEDIENCE to his law – “those who DO THE WILL OF MY FATHER IN HEAVEN” will be allowed into his kingdom, those who DON’T DO IT won’t be. Notice how Jesus rejected those who thought that their doing of all kinds of wonderful WORKS would gain them entrance into His kingdom. You see, however wonderful our WORKS are, they aren’t enough to gain us favor with God or entrance into His kingdom – we must have more, we must walk in obedience to His law! Read it over as many times as you wish, foreward and backward, makes no difference – the way to (eternal) life is “NARROW” and “STRAIT,” a Gate you have to “STRIVE” (struggle) to enter, even force your way into.

If you believe I’m wrong about any of this, please feel free to write me and let me know where I’ve erred. I’m always open to correction since I’m imperfect and still learning as I continue to follow Yeshua and abide in His Word.

Shalom to those who shema (hear) and obey the Ruach HaKodesh (God’s Holy Spirit)!

PAUL AND THE LAW

One of the reasons Jesus came to earth was to set things straight, to teach the proper interpretation and application of the Torah. See: Mt 5:17- 48

The teachers (Pharisees) of the law in Jesus’s day had “added” many man-made laws (like “touch not, taste not”) to God’s Torah. They taught the outer observance only and missed the inner application, a changed heart – “I will give them one heart, and put a new spirit within you; and I will ake the stony heart out of their flesh….” Ezek 11:19 (See also Ezek 36:26&27, Deut 30:6, Jer 24:7, Jer 32:39-40)

The purpose and effect of that – Eze 11:20  That they may walk in my statutes, and keep mine ordinances, and do them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.

So, the purpose of God giving people a new spirit and a new heart of flesh was so they would walk in his statutes, and keep his ordinances. And, His law isn’t too hard to keep (because He helps us keep it, IF we’re willing) —

Deu 30:11  For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off.
Deu 30:12  It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
Deu 30:13  Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
Deu 30:14  But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.

When I saw that last phrase in Deut. 30:14, I realized that the reason for Yahweh’s law being in men’s mouths and hearts was so that they could DO it! But something shook me to the core when I compared this passage with Paul’s quote of it in Romans 10:8 —-

Rom 10:6  But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)
Rom 10:7  Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)
Rom 10:8  [But what saith it?] The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: [that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
Rom 10:9  That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Rom 10:10  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.]**

Notice what Paul left off of his misquote of Deut. 30:14 — “that thou mayest do it.” Paul clearly twisted the meaning of the Deut passage which states the purpose for having the word nigh, in one’s mouth and heart, is so that one can DO IT, which agrees with Ezek 11:20 and James 2:14-26. Contrariwise, Paul seems to be saying that confession with the mouth and belief in the heart (without works) results in salvation of the soul. Is that what Paul meant or does it just sound like that’s what he meant? He sure seems to be giving the impression that merely confessing with one’s mouth and believing in his heart that Jesus died for his sins, is ALL one needs to do to be saved.

** Everything enclosed in brackets above is what Paul ADDED to the original Old Testament passage! What did Yahweh say about “adding to” and “taking away from” His words?

Deu 4:2  Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.
Deu 12:32  What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.
Pro 30:5  Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
Pro 30:6  Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

Dear reader, it’s quite significant that Paul, hailed by many Christians as being the greatest of all Christ’s apostles, “diminished” (removed, took away from, made small, lessened) Yahweh’s perfect Word!

When I first saw this I was doing a search on another topic in my bible study software and never expected to make such a discovery. To put it mildly, I was flabbergasted – my mouth fell open as I realized what Paul had done. Emphatically I asked, “Lord, what has Paul done here? What has he done?!!” My eyes were opened in that moment and I knew that what I had seen could not be unseen. I also realized that if there was one passage Paul twisted and changed the meaning of, there must be others. So I began a search for other Old Testament passages which Paul changed and misquoted in the books of the New Testament. To my horror I found MANY such passages!

One of my first questions upon finding them was how could it be accidental? How could a man of extensive (so Paul claimed) learning and tutorage have accidentally twisted so many scripture passages, leaving out large portions of God’s words and adding his own in their place?

Yahweh keeps repeating that men are to KEEP His commandments, and not to add to or diminish anything from them!

The apostle James the Just seems to at least partly disagree with Paul on justification by faith alone —-

Jas 2:14  What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?
Jas 2:17  Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
Jas 2:18  Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
Jas 2:19  Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
Jas 2:20  But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
Jas 2:21  Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?
Jas 2:22  Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?
Jas 2:23  And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.
Jas 2:24  Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
Jas 2:25  Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?
Jas 2:26  For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

James makes it very clear in vs 24, that one is not justified by faith alone! Yikes! Who’s right and who’s wrong on this point, James or Paul? Is a man saved by faith alone or by faith plus works? What did Jesus teach on this topic?

Mat 19:16  Now behold, one came to Him and said, “Teacher, what good shall I do to have eternal life?”
Mat 19:17  “Why do you ask Me about what is good?” Yeshua said to him. “There is only One who is good; but if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.”
Mat 19:18  “Which ones?” he said. Yeshua said, “‘Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not give false testimony,
Mat 19:19  honor your father and mother,’ and ‘love your neighbor as yourself.’”

Note that Jesus quoted the Ten Commandments as being the way to “enter into life!”

Luk 16:17  And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail. (“law” is a mistranslation of Torah which is what we today call the Old Testament, like it has no relevance anymore for it has passed away – so not true. God’s law is forever settled in the heavens – Psa 119)

Jesus said much more about the Law which for the sake of brevity, here are some links on the topic for you truth seekers — https://truthinrevelation.wordpress.com/

http://www.voiceofjesus.org/b2tableofcontents.html

http://questioningpaul.com/    http://paulproblem.faithweb.com/

CONCLUSION —

Understanding Paul and his position on the “law” (a mistranslation of the term Torah which consists of all the books contained in what we call today the Old Testament) has never been easy. Many, myself included, have found Paul’s writings “difficult” to understand. Many of his words seem cryptic and even incoherent, not making sense. Plus, I had always felt in my heart that something was terribly wrong with the teaching that God’s Law had passed away or been done away with – why would God do away with His own law??? That never made sense to me. Now, I know why – Paul’s view on God’s law doesn’t match what God, Jesus, and His Apostles all said about it; in their teachings they all confirmed the Torah (law). ONLY Paul taught that the Law was passing away; only Paul taught that believers after the death of Christ, were “no longer under the law” because it had been “done away with” (book of Hebrews, Colossians, Romans, & Galatians). ONLY Paul taught that in the New Covenant salvation was by “faith” alone – just believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus died for you and you’ll be saved. For the past 40 plus years I have believed exactly that, but is that the whole truth? The ONLY thing God (Yahweh) changed in the New Covenant, was that He would “write” His laws in men’s hearts – Jeremiah 31:33  But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

After stumbling upon the fact that Paul changed God’s words on the Law, I conclude that God’s Law – the Ten Commandments and the entire Torah including the Prophets, Proverbs, and Psalms; IS STILL IN FORCE and therefore, should be kept by everyone today!!

When you remove Paul’s writings on the Law from the equation, the entire Bible makes sense and agrees with itself from cover to cover – finally!! Paul’s writings on the law should be seen as commentary and not “inspired” (as in God-breathed) since they differ from what Yahweh said re His Law, and which Yeshua confirmed. The way to judge all writings and teachings is to compare them to God’s words in the Old Testament – whatever disagrees is a falsehood. Paul claimed to have seen Jesus while traveling on the road to Damascus and that Jesus taught him the things he later wrote in his letters to various churches – but did he really see Jesus or Lucifer the Light Bearer? Others like Paul have had VISIONS and made big claims of being “chosen” and “sent” to bring messages to mankind; men like Mohammed, founder of the Muslim religion [1] and Joseph Smith (founder of the Mormon religion) [2].  Are you willing to stake your eternal salvation upon some man’s VISION? I certainly am not. While visions and dreams can be valid and helpful, they should never be considered EQUAL to the written Word, nor can they ever REPLACE it!

Ultimately, every person who claims to know Jesus and Yahweh His Father, has to come to his own conclusion on this matter but all must weigh the evidence (which is plentiful) and decide. God will not hold innocent the man who claims ignorance of His Word when it is so freely and easily obtained in our times; the Bible is still the number one best seller of bookstores the world over.

In my estimation, Paul wrote some wonderful things in his letters so not everything he wrote was wrong, but one has to ferret out what’s true and what isn’t, what to keep and what to discard. God allowed Paul’s letters to be included in the canon of Scripture perhaps to “test” us, to see who would obey Yahweh’s words versus those of a stranger. Perhaps part of God’s test was to see if we would “test the spirits” like John said we should do – 1Jn 4:1  Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 1Th 5:20  do not despise prophetic messages, 1Th 5:21  but test all things, hold fast to what is good,

So, why have so many Christians FAILED to “test” Paul’s writings by comparing them to Old Testament scriptures and the teachings of Jesus (Yeshua) their Savior and Lord? One reason why is that Christian ministers have discouraged believers from reading the old testament books saying they are no longer relevant for today. Another reason, even more abominable, is that many believers hold Paul in higher esteem than they do Jesus who is supposed to have pre-eminence above all things.  After all, it was Jesus, not Paul, who shed his blood for us. So it is Jesus we should be following and holding in highest esteem – not Paul.

The way I see it, the bible contains the true words of God (Yahweh) but not all words written therein are the words of God. I know, some will object saying the bible is infallible and if we don’t believe all of it, we can’t believe any of it – but that’s not so. We CAN know the truth whether the bible is infallible or not – the diligent and earnest seeker will dig out the nuggets of truth buried beneath the rubble of half-truths and lies.

Mat 7:7  Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
Mat 7:8  For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

I sought and I found. You too can find the truth if you’re willing to seek for it with all your heart. How badly do you want it? I prayed to God several times asking Him to “just show me the truth,” and He did, but I also had to dig for it as one would dig for buried treasure.

Happy digging!

The Abomination of Transubstantiation

See the source image

Heb 3:14  For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;

In the New Covenant, believers don’t need to take communion in order to “partake” of Christ, as they do that by simply believing in Christ’s atonement.

Heb 4:3  For we which have believed do enter into rest….

Heb 4:9  There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
Heb 4:10  For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.

What this is saying, is that after Christ no one can WORK for their salvation, for the work of salvation has been COMPLETED BY JESUS. We enter into His rest through our faith in His finished work of salvation/redemption. There is absolutely NOTHING we can do to EARN our salvation – that is what’s being spoken of here in the book of Hebrews.

Rom 7:6  But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter. Rom 10:4  For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. Gal 2:16  Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified

Gal 6:2  Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ – “law” (nomos) is “the moral instruction given by Christ, especially the precept concerning love.” NOTE: There are two different definitions of “law” seen in these passages, one refers to the Mosaic law (by which no one is saved), the other to the law of Christ in the New Covenant; the context of the passage determines which meaning is to be applied.

What changed in the New Covenant?

1) Heb 7:12  For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.

The Priesthood – From the Levitical priesthood under Aaron, which offered animal sacrifices for sin, to the Everlasting Priesthood after the order of Melchisedek in which the offering of Christ’s Body & Blood put an END to the old sacrifical system because the sacrifice of Himself fulfilled the LAW of the shedding of blood to atone for sin – “once and for all.” Thus, after Christ’s death, NO MORE OFFERING is needed to atone for man’s sin, as it was FINISHED, completed when Christ breathed His last breath on the Cross. That’s why Jesus uttered this when dying, “It is finished!” He meant that the redemption of mankind was finished because His shed Blood was enough to procure full atonment for all the sins of mankind once and for all time.

Heb 7:26  For such a high priest became us, holy, guileless, undefiled, separated from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; (This is speaking of Jesus!)

Heb 7:27  who needeth not daily, like those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people: for this he did once for all, when he offered up himself.

Therefore, no communion service in the modern Church age, in which it is claimed that Christ’s body must be “offered” repeatedly and His blood shed repeatedly to atone for men’s sin can be true, since Christ already FULLY atoned for men’s sin by the “ONCE FOR ALL TIME OFFERING OF HIMSELF” when He died on the Cross.

The Catholic Communion is not merely SYMBOLIC like it is in Protestant communion services, but much more. The Catholic Church believes that the wafer of bread the priest blesses, actually becomes the Body of Christ which when eaten, atones for a person’s sin. They likewise believe that the wine they bless becomes the actual Blood of Christ. This process is called, “Transubstantiation” means that the SUBSTANCE of the wafer and wine are changed or transformed by the prayers of the priest presiding over the mass. See also http://spirit-wind.org/2019/02/

Definition of transubstantiation – the miraculous change by which according to Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox dogma the eucharistic elements at their consecration become the body and blood of Christ while keeping only the appearances of bread and wine. [1]

Roman Catholics believe that the priest consecrates the wine and the bread and it actually mutates and changes into the body and blood of Christ. This process is also known as transubstantiation. Transubstantiation was defined by the Roman Catholic Church at the Council of Trent:

“… By the consecration of the bread and wine there takes place a change of the whole substance of the bread into the substance of the body of Christ our Lord and of the whole substance of the wine into the substance of his blood. This change the holy Catholic Church has fittingly and properly called transubstantiation.” By the consecration the transubstantiation of the bread and wine into the Body and Blood of Christ is brought about. Under the consecrated species of bread and wine Christ himself, living and glorious, is present in a true, real, and substantial manner: his Body and his Blood, with his soul and his divinity (Council of Trent: DS 1640; 1651).

Christians who deny transubstantiation believe Jesus was using figurative language to teach spiritual truth. Feeding on Jesus’ body and drinking his blood are symbolic actions. They speak of someone receiving Christ wholeheartedly into their lives, not holding anything back. Protestant churches reject the doctrine of transubstantiation, believing the bread and the wine are unchanged elements used only as symbols to represent Christ’s body and blood. The Lord’s command regarding Communion in Luke 22:19 was to “do this in remembrance of me” as a memorial of his enduring sacrifice, which was once and for all. [2]

The Transubstantiation teaching seriously conflicts with the teachings of the Bible, a book which is the very word of God. Who then should men believe, the words of a priestcraft or the words of God Himself?

2) The Law was also changed — Heb 7:12  For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law. Heb 7:18  For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.

The “weakness” and “ineffectiveness” of the old covenant law was its animal sacrifices. Note: it doesn’t say “in” the law, but “of” the law. Was this a correct translation or not, and if it was, does it make a significant difference? “In” would suggest just part of the law was changed, while “of” would suggest that ALL of the law was changed.

“disannulling” = cancellation, abolition, putting away, rejection. “of the commandment going before…” (Note, the singular usage of “commandment.”)

Heb 7:19  For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.

The “better hope” by which “we draw near to God,” is that the way has been opened for us to enter into intimate fellowship with the Living God through the Blood of Jesus – no need for a human intermediary such as a priest, or for animal sacrifices which were only a shadow and a temporary substitute until Christ arrived and shed His Blood, thereby fulfilling the legal requirement of blood atonement.

Heb 9:28  So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many;
Heb 10:10  By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
Heb 10:11  And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:
Heb 10:12  But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; Heb 10:14  For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. Heb 10:17  And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
Heb 10:18  Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.

These verses clearly state that Jesus only needed to “die once” for the sins of mankind, so He doesn’t need to be offered as a sacrifice for sin over and over again as is done in the Catholic Mass.

The Catholic religion SUBSTITUTES its communion mass for Christ’s sacrifice of Himself as the Atonement for men’s sin. This is contrary to Scripture, for Christ’s offering of Himself ONCE was sufficient, and need not be repeated. By repeatedly offering up Christ’s body and Blood, the Catholic religion DENIES that Christ’s death was ENOUGH to atone for sin! It’s the same as calling Him a LIAR. That makes the Catholic church and religion – ANTICHRIST! This is WHY the Spirit of God once told me that taking Communion at a Catholic church was an ABOMINATION to Him! It’s an abomination to Him because it’s substituting something for, or putting something in the place of, His once for all sacrifice of Himself for the forgiveness of sin. Anything we put in the place of God or that we worship instead of God, is an IDOL. Bowing down to a Eucharist (wafer) is unadulterated idol worship!

Definition of “antichrist” = an opponent of, over against, opposite to, (putting something) before, instead of, (or) in place of Christ.
Def. of “abomination” = a foul thing, a detestable thing; of idols and things pertaining to idolatry.

Heb 9:11  But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;
Heb 9:12  Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. Heb 10:4  For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.
Heb 10:19  Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
Heb 10:20  By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;

SUMMARY: The new covenant is based upon a better hope and better promises, one of which is that because of Jesus’s sacrifice, men can enter freely and boldly into the Holy of Holies without a middle man, no longer needing a priest to act as intermediary. Jesus, our new high priest (Heb 9:15) is the ONLY intermediary needed between man and God.

Anyone who says they belong to Jesus Christ and is a Christian and yet doesn’t receive the knowledge and the “love of the truth,” is a liar and an antichrist! There can be no compromising when it comes to the truth, you’re either in Christ or you’re not, you either believe the bible is God’s word or you don’t.

2Th 2:10  And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
2Th 2:11  And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
2Th 2:12  That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

As God’s Word states, those who stubbornly refuse to accept and to love the truth, are sent a “strong delusion” so that they will believe a lie. They will believe in a SUBSTITUTE or FALSE Christ, one who’s Blood and broken body wasn’t enough to pay for their sins so they have to sacrifice and “eat” Christ repeatedly (like the Old Covenant priests repeatedly sacrificed animals) to have their sins forgiven. Transubstantiation is not based upon Scripture, and is therefore a extra-biblical teaching.

The Catholic “wafer” is an IDOL because it’s a substitute for the death of Jesus, whose sacrifice once offered was enough to atone for all men’s sin for all time. The “strong delusion” is men believing that their religious works are enough to get themselves saved; works like going to confession, taking communion, giving of tithes/offerings, wearing of scapulars, lighting candles, praying to dead saints, etc. These kinds of “works” follow the pattern of men down through the Ages, men like Cain who offered the fruits of his labor to God instead of a slain animal like Abel did – Genesis 4:3. Man’s works were also represented by the fig leaves which Adam and Eve covered themselves with after they sinned against God’s command to not eat of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil – Genesis 3:7. Man has since that time been trying to atone for his sins in some way other than God’s way. All man made substitutions for Christ and His death, are detestable ABOMINATIONS which no true Christian having a knowledge of God’s Word, would submit to. Ignorance is no excuse however for those who can read and have access to a bible but are just too lazy to seek the truth! Also, those who understand what they’re doing and knowingly partake of such spiritual abominations will lose their souls. Don’t be one of them! You have been forewarned by Scripture and by me.

Dear reader, what you believe and practice, is a matter of eternal life or eternal death. That’s why it’s so important that you open your heart and mind to receive these truths. Rejecting God’s words will damn your soul to everlasting torment in hellfire, so for your sake, get your heart right with God before Christ returns to earth, for then there won’t be time to do so. (Mt 25:1-13)

You have a choice – either cling to the “dead works” of religious doctrines, or receive the truth. You either trust in the finished work of Christ’s death on the Cross for your salvation or you don’t, but in order to be saved, you must believe it and receive it (apply it to yourself) – or be lost forever.

“MIRROR, MIRROR”….

Image result for FREE pics snow white or a mirror

In the popular fairy tale, Snow White, a wicked witch has a magical mirror that she looks into and asks this question, “Mirror, mirror on the wall, who’s the fairest of them all?”

Many of us have read or had this story read to us when we were children, but it just occured to me that there are parallels between it and the reality of our lives. Most of us spend a fair amount of time looking at ourselves in the mirrors hanging on our walls, yet we never stop to think about the fact that we’re only seeing the outside of ourselves. Such mirrors only reflect one’s outer appearance while the inside remains hidden.

How then can we see what’s on the inside (if we wished to)? Does a mirror exist which enables us to do that? I’m happy to say that there is, and it’s the Bible which was penned by holy men called of God to write down whatever He spoke to them.

Jas 1:22  But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. Jas 1:23  For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:
Jas 1:24  For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
Jas 1:25  But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

continueth therein — contrasted with “goeth his way,” Jas_1:24, continues both looking into the mirror of God’s word, and doing its precepts. [Jamieson, Fausset, & Brown Commentary]

2Co 3:18  But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
1Co 13:12  For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

glass” 1) a mirror; 1a) the mirrors of the ancients were made, not of glass, but steel
perfect law of liberty” Thayer Definition: 1) liberty to do or to omit things having no relationship to salvation, 2) fancied liberty, 2a) licence, the liberty to do as one pleases, 3) true liberty is living as we should not as we please

As Christians we should know that our liberty in Christ doesn’t mean we can do as we please but rather, we live to please another who is Christ our Savior because He bled and died for us, and not only for us, but for the whole world.

I wonder how many know that our liberty in Christ means that we can “do” or “omit” things which have no impact upon our salvation? By the Holy Spirit living in me I knew that to be true even while various sorts of legalists were trying to convince me that in order to be saved I had to keep the entire old covenant law which New Covenant believers are no longer obligated to keep – Hebs 8:13, Hebs 7:11 &12, Heb 7:18&19, Hebs 9:9&10.

Heb 8:13  In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away. decayeth” – become worn out, obsolete.

Christians are to aim at a higher standard of holiness than was generally understood under the law. The principle of love takes the place of the letter of the law, so that by the Spirit they are free from the yoke of sin, and free to obey by spontaneous instinct (Jas_2:8, Jas_2:10, Jas_2:12; Joh_8:31-36; Joh_15:14, Joh_15:15; compare 1Co_7:22; Gal_5:1, Gal_5:13; 1Pe_2:16). The law is thus not made void, but fulfilled. [Jamieson, Fausset, & Brown Commentary]

God’s Word, the Bible, is called the “law of liberty,” or freedom because it is a law producing freedom from the servitude of sinful passions and lusts [Albert Barnes’ Notes on the Bible].

I love the last definition of liberty as being, the freedom to live like we should, not as we please. So many believe the opposite, doing whatever they please with never a thought for God or anyone else!

Beloved and those who aren’t (yet) saved, every one of us is unclean on the inside before we get cleansed of our sin by the spotless Blood of the Lamb, Jesus Christ. We can’t see our sin nature by looking into a physical mirror, we can only see it by (steadily, continually) looking into the “perfect law of liberty,” God’s holy Word, the bible. The purpose of doing so is not to keep us focused on sin, but after seeing our sin to forsake it so that we can be cleansed by the Blood of Jesus! Staying in the Word of God keeps us focused on the truth of who God is and what He has done for us! The Blood of Jesus is still available to cleanse those who come to Him in humble admission of guilt with the sincere intent of turning away from sin.

Might you be such a one dear reader? If so, all you need do to get cleansed of your sin is to turn to Jesus and ask for His forgiveness with the caveat that you sincerely intend to keep His commands thereafter. God is no fool and He knows who’s sincere and who’s playing games. Word to the wise, don’t try to play games with God for you will lose every time, but if you are sincere, He will welcome you with open arms and shower you with wonderful, unimaginable gifts! ~ 1Co 2:9  But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

His Servant D’vora

Happy Hanukkah! (to those who observe it)

Our freedom or liberty in Christ/Yeshua allows us to observe or not to observe when it doesn’t affect our salvation, while not condemning others who do things differently from us.

THE POWER OF AN OATH

90 military recruits run through Conroe - The CourierThe practice of binding the soul with vows and oaths is of very ancient date, and common to all systems of religion. [1] I want you to pay particular attention to the part about “binding the soul” for that is the power of oath-taking and vow-making, which is why no one should take either lightly.

The biblical definition of “oath” in the New Testament is ‘horkos’ Thayer Definition: 1) that which has been pledged or promised with an oath. One Old Testament word for “oath” is, shebû‛âh; Feminine passive participle of H7650; properly something sworn, that is, an oath: – curse, oath, X sworn.

A Few Old Testament examples of swearing (or oath-taking) –

Exo 6:7  And I will take you as my people, and I will be your God: and ye shall know that I am the LORD your God, who brought you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.
Exo 6:8  And I will bring you in unto the land, concerning which I raised my hand to give it to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; and I will give it unto you for a heritage: I am the LORD. [Jubilee Version] Exo 6:8  And I will bring you in unto the land, concerning the which I did swear to give it to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; and I will give it you for an heritage: I am the LORD. [KJV]
Deu 32:39  See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.
Deu 32:40  For I lift up my hand to heaven, and say, I live for ever.
Gen 14:22  And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lift up mine hand unto the LORD, the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth,
Gen 14:23  That I will not take from a thread even to a shoelatchet, and that I will not take any thing that is thine, lest thou shouldest say, I have made Abram rich:
Dan 12:7  And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever

A Few New Testament examples of swearing –

Heb 6:16  For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife.
Heb 6:17  Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath:
Rev 10:5  And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven
Rev 10:6  And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever,

swear: Heb. lift up my hand, The ancient mode of appealing to God was by lifting up the right hand, and was considered as a form of swearing. Hence yamin, in Hebrew ‘the right hand’, is in Arabic an oath, and as a verb, to take an oath. A similar custom prevailed among the heathens. See Virg. Æn. 1. xii. v. 196. Gen_14:22; Deu_32:40; Eze_20:5-6, Eze_20:15, Eze_20:23, Eze_20:28, Eze_20:42, Eze_36:7, Eze_47:14

The right hand was lifted up in taking an oath ( Genesis 14:22 , etc.). The hand is frequently mentioned, particularly the right hand, as a symbol of power and strength ( Psalms 60:5 ; Isaiah 28:2 ). [2]

As an example, I’ll share a personal incident when the college I was graduating from asked me if I wanted to join the Phi-Beta-Kappa society and attend a special awards ceremony for the high honors students, of which I was one. At the time I knew nothing about college sororities or societies like Phi-Beta-Kappa and I just thought it would be nice to have my accomplishments acknowledged. What I later discovered is that this and any college sorority or society is based upon the Bavarian Illuminati, a secret society! Mystery abounds in secret societies like the Freemasons, the Birch Society, Skull and Bones, and the infamous Illuminati (“Mystery Bablyon the Great”?).

As I stood among my fellow graduating students awaiting the handing out of our certificates of membership in the prestigious Phi-Beta-Kappa society, we were each given a lighted candle to hold in our left hand and told to RAISE OUR RIGHT HAND as we recited words (VOWS actually) which we promised to keep as members of this group! Suddenly I recalled feeling very uncomfortable and didn’t recite the vows but just stood there. I knew in my spirit that something was wrong with the procedings but didn’t know what at that moment. It wasn’t till I got home and began to pray and ask God why I felt uneasy that I learned what was wrong. First, I searched the Bible about the taking of oaths and found old and new testament verses about it. Then, I searched out the origins of sororities and the Phi-Beta-Kappa society and learned it was a branch of the Illuminati. I was horrified and prayed to God as to what I should do about it. The following morning, I called the society and demanded that my name be REMOVED from their membership roll immediately. At first the woman I spoke to there was unwilling to do what I asked, saying that it couldn’t be done because membership was forever and therefore couldn’t be rescinded! At that, I said to her that it would be a waste of their valuable resources to keep me on their membership roll since I wasn’t planning to further my education, and I kept insisting that she remove me. Finally, she gave in and removed my name and contact info. from their membership. After I ended my conversation with her and hung up the phone, I prayed to God again and asked Him if she did in fact do it and He assured me that it had been done in the natural and in the SPIRIT REALM as well. Whew! What a big relief that was to me and a lesson learned to never again make any vows, pledges, or oaths unless I knew to whom I was making them and fully understood what I was doing. All secret societies have RELIGIOUS aspects to their ceremonies, often invoking demonic spirits while performing strange acts like lying naked in a coffin (Freemasonry). I believe that God permitted me to go to the ceremony so that He could teach me that taking of vows and oaths is a very serious matter with Him, not to be engaged in lightly. Because God knew I didn’t know any better, He provided a way out for me.

The overall lesson and purpose for this article is to warn people about the seriousness of taking oaths and to avoid taking them unless required by law, as in a courtroom or in signing certain legal documents. Another, perhaps more urgent purpose however, is to sound an alarm about the ETERNAL OATH [3] which anyone can voluntarily take now (forcibly later on?) in order to join the Illuminati. Landing on the Illuminati website was probably no accident as I’ve been asking God to reveal to me what the Mark of the Beast really is, since there are many opinions floating around about it. The very first thing you see is a symbol or ‘mark’ of their organization which includes an All-seeing eye, a pyramid, a hallo of sorts, and the words ILLUMINATI 666 SOCIETY. Did you get the 666, the number associated with the Beast?! Right below it are these words, “The Illuminati is an elite organization of world leaders, business authorities, innovators, artists, and other influential members of this planet. Our coalition unites influencers of all political, religious, and geographical backgrounds to further the prosperity of the human species as a whole.” [4] It is believed that the Rothchilds, Rockerfellers, and Bildebergers, to name just a few, are members of the Illuminati [5].

Could it be possible that the Illuminati’s New World Order of which many are Luciferians, is the 8th Beast power mentioned in the book of Revelation? Could the “ten horns” or “kings” be ten rulers who rule over ten regions of the world? Some think the European Union which used to be the old Roman Empire is the “king that was, and is not, yet is” Rev. 17:8 & 17. The European Union they say, is a revived Roman Empire which was “one of the seven” former world empires which rises again as “the eighth” and final world empire/kingdom on earth. They may be right.

One possible interpretation is that they are nations or powers of the Antichrist’s Endtime empire that will come from the remains of the ancient Roman Empire, since the 10-horned Antichrist kingdom grows out of the Roman beast (Daniel 7:7) that ruled much of modern-day Europe. If this interpretation is correct, the European Union (EU) could fulfill the prophecy of the “ten horns” and play an important role in the Endtime. [6]

Rev 17:11  And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.
Rev 17:12  And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.
Rev 17:13  These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.

Rev 13:11  And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.
Rev 13:12  And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
Rev 13:13  And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
Rev 13:14  And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
Rev 13:15  And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
Rev 13:16  And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
Rev 13:17  And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
Rev 13:18  Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six. (or 666)

Did you know that 666 is the SUM of the numbers 1-36 added up together? “Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count (can also be rendered compute, calculate, reckon) the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.”- Rev 13:18   You’ll learn this and other things about Freemasonry and the Illuminati, like their god Baphomet, whose picture is on the front page of their website. I had a dream in which I saw Baphomet and a man who bowed before it and kissed its ring which had a red six-pointed star on it [7]. The Six-Pointed Star of modern Israel, used by King Solomon of antiquity, is associated with the occult, witchcraft, and the number 666.

Could the ETERNAL OATH of the Illuminati be the “mark” (of ownership) that will condemn whoever takes it to a fiery hell? [Rev. 13:16-20] It’s a fair question in light of the requirements for membership in the Illuminati, whose number is 666 and is pushing for a New World Order. It should be obvious to you by now, that a Christian should never take an oath to any organization, no, not even to join a church membership! Remember, Jesus said, “let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.” Mat 5:37  This is why I no longer recite the Pledge of Allegiance to the American flag. A Christian’s allegiance is to be given ONLY to the Lord of Heaven and Earth, Yahweh, and to His Son Jesus Christ. Go search for yourself and see if these things are true or not. After you do, I would love to hear from you.

Shalom to the Elect of God,

Debra

Can You Not Watch With Me?

JESUS, (English), Judas Betrays Jesus; Jesus is Arrested - YouTubeWhen Jesus was praying and agonizing over His soon arrest and crucifixion, He asked His disciples to “watch” with Him but all of them “fell asleep.” When the Roman soldiers came to arrest Jesus, His sleeping disciples woke up and all of them fled except for Peter who stayed nearby warming himself by a fire in the courtyard. Eventually, one or more of the people there recognized Peter as being Jesus’s disciple and asked him if he “knew” Jesus. Being a fallible human being like we all are, Peter “denied” knowing Christ out of fear of being delivered over to the same fate as Jesus.

Mat 26:30  And when they had sung a hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.
Mat 26:31  Then Jesus said unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night; for it is written, I will smite the Shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad.
Mat 26:32  But after I am risen again, I will go before you into Galilee.
Mat 26:33  Peter answered and said unto him, Though all men shall be offended in thee, yet I will never be offended.
Mat 26:34  Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, That this night before the cock crows, thou shalt deny me three times.
Mat 26:35  Peter said unto him, Though I should die with thee, yet will I not deny thee. Likewise also said all the disciples.

Jesus Prays in Gethsemane

Mat 26:36  Then Jesus came with them unto a place called Gethsemane and said unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder.
Mat 26:37  And taking with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, he began to be sorrowful and very heavy.
Mat 26:38  Then he said unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death; tarry ye here and watch with me.
Mat 26:39  And he went a little further and fell on his face, praying and saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.
Mat 26:40  And he came unto the disciples and found them asleep and said unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?
Mat 26:41  Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation; the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
Mat 26:42  He went away again the second time and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me except I drink it, thy will be done.
Mat 26:43  And he came and found them asleep again, for their eyes were heavy.

                      Betrayal and Arrest of Jesus

Mat 26:47  And while he yet spoke, behold, Judas, one of the twelve, came, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the princes of the priests and elders of the people.
Mat 26:48  Now he that betrayed him had given them a sign, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he; hold him fast.
Mat 26:49  And forthwith he came to Jesus and said, Receive joy, master; and kissed him.
Mat 26:50  And Jesus said unto him, Friend, why art thou come? Then they came and laid hands on Jesus and took him.
Mat 26:55  In that same hour Jesus said to the multitude, Are ye come out as against a thief with swords and staves to take me? I sat daily with you teaching in the temple, and ye laid no hold on me.
Mat 26:56  But all this was done that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples forsook him and fled.
Mat 26:58  But Peter followed him afar off unto the patio of the high priest and went in and sat with the servants to see the end.
Mat 26:69  Now Peter sat outside in the patio; and a damsel came unto him, saying, Thou also wast with Jesus of Galilee.
Mat 26:70  But he denied before them all, saying, I know not what thou sayest.
Mat 26:71  And when he was gone out into the porch, another maid saw him and said unto those that were there, This fellow was also with Jesus of Nazareth.
Mat 26:72  And again he denied with an oath, I do not know the man
Mat 26:73  And after a while those that stood by came unto him and said to Peter, Surely thou also art one of them, for thy speech makes thee manifest.
Mat 26:74  Then he began to curse and to swear, saying, I know not the man. And immediately a cock crew.
Mat 26:75  And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, who said unto him, Before the cock crows, thou shalt deny me three times. And he went out and wept bitterly.

In this bible account, believers can see parallels between what occurred with Jesus and His disciples then and what’s happening in our world and in the Church, today. First, I believe Jesus is agonizing over the decaying state of the world right now and is asking believers everywhere, “Could you not watch with Me one hour?”

What happened with Christ’s disciples is still happening! While the world is rapidly sliding into an abyss of moral decay so deep and so dark it will never recover outside of divine intervention, many believers are sleeping instead of “watching” with their LORD. When the soldiers came to arrest Jesus they were caught unaware, caught off guard and they FLED! Peter stayed behind warming himself by a fire but ended up “denying” that he knew Jesus – three times! I would rather WEEP bitter tears interceding for the world, than weep bitter tears because I failed to watch in prayer and fell as a result! If we don’t watch, we won’t SEE the Enemy coming, and when he attacks us we won’t have the spiritual strength to “stand fast.” What will you do when the Antichrist sends soldiers to YOUR house to arrest you? Will you change your testimony about Christ and deny Him, or will you “stand” by Him? You best decide before the soldiers show up at your door.

Friend, I’m sure that if you know Christ, you wouldn’t want to deny Him, BUT remember, our “flesh is weak”, meaning that it is prone to committing sin, to doing the wrong thing. The way to avoid giving in to our flesh, our natural inclinations and find strength to “resist” the Devil’s temptations is to “watch” and “pray” that we “enter not into temptation” but be delivered from evil – Mat 6:13  And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Eph 6:12  For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world-rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Eph 6:13  Wherefore take up the whole armour of God,that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand.

When the Antichrist begins his campaign to annihilate anyone who refuses to worship him, I wonder if there will be Christians who “deny Christ” in order to save their lives. May you nor I be one! I often pray that no matter what happens to me or to my loved ones, I will never abandon or deny my Lord and savior Jesus Christ.

If ever there was a time for “watching” and praying, it is now. If we do not watch, we will stumble and possibly fall in the hour of trial and testing, just like Jesus’s disciples did, and friend, that HOUR is upon us RIGHT NOW. Believe it or not, this generation is living in the LAST HOUR just before Jesus Christ returns to this earth to judge unrepentant sinners and to “gather His elect” to Himself. [Mt 24:31]

If ever there was a time for hearing the message of the Cross and of the believer’s obligation to take up his/her own cross and follow Jesus, it’s now. Don’t be fooled, believers have been called to “suffer” for Christ – to walk in His footsteps which lead to the Cross. We cannot have a Christianity void of persecution and we cannot have a Christianity which has no Cross! Jesus said, if we want to follow Him we must “take up our cross daily” [Mt 16:24] Ours is to be a life of “self-denial,” of denying our fleshly, natural inclinations to spare ourselves from suffering! Our flesh strives to “save itself” but Jesus teaches us to “lose our lives” for His and the gospel’s sake in order that we might “save them for eternal life” – Mat 16:25  For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.

Trials and tests show who you really are, whether you’re a true believer or not. Mature believers understand that they are called to suffer for the sake of Christ, but babies in Christ may not have fully grasped this truth. While ministers should be teaching the message of the cross, they are preaching a false prosperity message which promises material blessings to those who TITHE to their church, and do whatever else their Pastor asks of them. The prosperity message is wrong – Jesus never promises His followers easy lives devoid of suffering if they tithe to the church. In fact, the tithe or ten percent of one’s income is an Old Covenant law which New Covenant believers are no longer “under” or obligated to keep (Rms 6:14, 7:4 & 6). Under the New Covenant, which Jesus instituted just before His death (Jer 31:31, Heb 8:8 & 13), giving to the maintenance of the ministry is through free will offerings. Ministers who say the tithe is MANDATORY for New Covenant believers are either misinformed or dishonest. Do your own research and you will see. [1]

As always, if you have any questions or concerns regarding this message, or want to encourage me please feel free to contact me – I would love to hear from you. I pray that the message was helpful to you and that if you’re a believer in Christ you will faithfully follow in the steps of Jesus by taking up your cross daily and denying yourself; for in losing your life for His sake, you will save it for life eternal.

Peace to all who embrace the cross and crucify their flesh nature, that Christ may be formed in them (Gal 4:19).
