Guilty Until Proven Innocent?

It isn’t an Alien invasion from outer space, a war, an economic collapse, Russian meddling, Iraqi aggression, international trade wars, or N. Korea’s nuclear weapons testing which pose the greatest threats to our Representative Republic and to our freedoms. Some of our senators and representatives are seeking to remove President Donald J. Trump from office through an impeachment trial saying that he is a clear and present danger to our national security, but is this true? I think what they really mean is that he’s a real and present danger to the Democrats bid for the presidency in 2020. Democrats know they don’t have a prayer of winning the 2020 election unless they contrive a way to eliminate or seriously injure Donald Trump’s chances of getting re-elected. Aside from that, there’s something not readily discernable behind their rush to remove him from office. I believe that something is a major and immanent threat to our American way of life, liberties, and rule of law.

When they say that Trump is guilty (like Adam Schiff and other House members constantly do) without having yet proven their case against him, they’re reframing a statute which states that the accused is INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY!

One of the most sacred principles in the American criminal justice system, holding that a defendant is innocent until proven guilty. In other words, the prosecution must prove, beyond a reasonable doubt, each essential element of the crime charged. [1] Definition from Nolo’s Plain-English Law Dictionary [2]

The Sixth Amendment sets forth provisions regarding criminal prosecutions. It grants certain rights to the accused in order to ensure a fair and just trial and verdict rendering. Because under United States law an individual is “innocent until proven guilty”, it is important for those facing accusations or allegations of a crime to be provided with specific rights. The Sixth Amendment provides for six distinct rights under its provisions: Speedy Trial, Public Trial, Impartial Jury, Notice of Accusation, Confrontation, and Counsel. [3]

This statute has always been a key protection for any man or woman accused of a crime in our nation and the lodestar of our Criminal Justice system. What the House managers and members are doing is reversing that order by proclaiming Trump GUILTY UNTIL PROVEN INNOCENT! They hypocritically accuse the Republican dominated Senate of not wanting a “fair” trial to take place while they continuously declare Trump’s guilt BEFORE having proven it. The trial is still ongoing and yet House members speak as though it’s over and the verdict is in – guilty as charged! This impeachment trial is about far more than determining one man’s guilt or innocence.

Through their impeachment effort the Progressives are attempting to WEAKEN our Constitution and Bill of Rights to the point where these laws have no clout.

Quite simply, the Progressives detested the bedrock principles of American government. They detested the Declaration of Independence, which enshrines the protection of individual natural rights (like property) as the unchangeable purpose of government; and they detested the Constitution, which places permanent limits on the scope of government and is structured in a way that makes the extension of national power beyond its original purpose very difficult. “Progressivism” was, for them, all about progressing, or moving beyond, the principles of our founders. Both progressivism and socialism champion the prerogatives of the state over the prerogatives of the individual. “In fundamental theory socialism and democracy are almost if not quite one and the same. They both rest at bottom upon the absolute right of the community to determine its own destiny and that of its members. ….progressives believed that the role of government should be determined not by our Constitution, but by whatever the needs of the day happened to be. This is why they sought to eradicate talk of the Constitution from our political discourse; today, that goal seems to have been realized.

Under the system of our founders, government was to have sufficient strength and energy to accomplish its ends, but those ends were strictly limited by the Constitution. The principal way in which the Constitution keeps the government within its boundaries is through the separation of powers. As readers of The Federalist and of Thomas Jefferson know, the point of separation of powers is to keep any one set of hands from wielding all of the power in national government. [4]

The largest socialist political organization in the country, the Democratic Socialists of America, wants to turn the Democratic Party into the Socialist Party. ….at the DSA’s national convention, the delegates……passed a resolution calling for the abolition of private property and the acceptance of public housing as “a human right.” [5]

Progressives are also attempting to prevent the appointment of Pro-Life, Conservative Judges to the Supreme Court and other courts by removing Donald J. Trump who has appointed Conservative judges around the country since his election. The Progressive Democrats know that the appointment of Conservative Judges will interfere with their political agenda of promoting Gay Rights, Abortion, open borders, socialized medicine, and other extremely Liberal ideologies and legislation, regardless how the majority of Americans feel about those issues. An indisputable fact is that the majority of Americans voted for President Trump who has been pushing back at Progressive agendas. Trump won the 2016 presidental election by rallying Conservatives all across the country, especially the Religious Right who are Pro-life and for the most part, solid Constitutionalists.

A constitutionalist is often known by other names such as a constitutional conservative or a strict constructionalist. While the latter term typically refers to judges and justices, it is also used to describe any person that believes in a strict reading of the US Constitution. This person typically favors limited government, as prescribed by the Constitution, and one that is small not only in size but also in scope and in power. [6]

Our Constitutional form of government is the longest enduring and most successful institution ever devised. Though imperfect, it has nevertheless afforded its citizens more personal freedoms and protections than any government past or present. Why then would anyone want to change a nearly perfect system unless it’s to further some other cause?

Progressive Democrats are attempting to overthrow and replace our Constitution with another form of government under which most if not all of our currently cherished and protected liberties will vanish. If “We, the People” allow this hideous onslaught against our Constitution to continue, we may wake up one morning to find that we no longer have a Constitution! It will have been systematically dismantled by the subversive tactics of an elite citizenry whose goals for the United States are NOT in the best interests of the American people.

As to the outcome of the impeachment trial, it’s extremely important to forego judgment of the president’s actions until the court settles the matter, regardless of how we feel about him. Unlike other countries, everyone in America is supposed to get a fair trial. More than likely President Trump will be acquitted of the charges brought against him by the Progressive House Democrats. He will go back to, in his words, ‘Making America Great Again’ and will most likely get re-elected in November 2020. Life will go back to somewhat normal, or will it? Will we ever be secure so long as Progressives seek to undo our Republic? Whatever the outcome of Trump’s impeachment, Progressives won’t stop until they succeed in overthrowing all other forms of government and establish their long planned New World Order [7], with its own Charter, which will be headquartered at the United Nations building in New York City, USA. Their Plan for a NWO is the number one danger to all nations’ freedom and security, not the actions of one man.

NWO – An event that results in one government, one religion. The starter of this idea was George Bush Sr, whom was president of the United States from 1989 to 1993. This involves many powerful countries mainly within the United Nations. A popular yet quiet conspiracy act which destroys freedom of civilians such as Liberty and Constitutional Rights for American citizens.

– A design created by Global Elites to control the world through poverty, oppression, military actions towards citizens whom were weakened with law enforcements. Results will vary from country to country depending on its degree in power and leadership. Third World countries have first been affected by these acts from the spreading of faulty vaccinations such as tetanus shots including dangerous female hormones and biological warfare such as the AIDS virus and many others.

-In religious history, the Bible has a story about the New World Order when the King of Babylon tried creating a one world government. God confused the world and stopped it from being created. Now it is being brought back and people are willing to expose of this quiet and yet dangerous act on the world.

-Ideas of how this will affect others will be worldwide Communism, Nazism, Marxism, and Capitalism for all to witness in every country. Many whom understood these events in other countries such as the Soviet Union or Nazi Germany will admit that the New World Order is seemed to be far worse than anything imagined.

-Involvements in this event are: Illuminati (see definition) (Superior) Roman Catholics, Presidential leaders, Dictators of Countries, Federal Reserve System/Private banks, Military of all countries from United Nations [7]

Pray for a fair impeachment process and outcome, and for peace which seems ever more nebulous in these tumultuous times. Until Jesus Christ returns and sets up His Kingdom on earth, people everywhere will suffer oppression and injustice so long as self-serving men and women strive to carry out their nefarious plans to suppress freedom and human rights throughout the world.

PASSION FOR THE CHRIST

Image result for free pictures of the bride of Christ in love with HimWe hear a lot about passion, especially in the movie industry, the kind that’s associated with the amorous side of human experience, but that’s not the only kind that exists. For example, innate within every human soul is a passion for beauty: the beauty of nature, of music and art, and the beauty imbued within all of life. We can love another person passionately where sex isn’t part of the relationship, as in the love between a mother and child. While there are many forms of passion there’s one which surpasses them all – the passion Christ has for lost souls. Likewise, shouldn’t those who are saved be passionate about Him? It appears today that many who call themselves believers have a somewhat dispassionate response to the Lord’s wooing. Yes, Jesus is passionate about spending time with His children. The Song of Songs in the bible is a passionate love story depicting the intimate relationship that should exist between God and His Church. “Draw me….” is the cry of one whose heart desires intimacy with the Lord [Song 1:4]

The Lord is pleased when the redeemed passionately seek His presence, but what does He say about those who halfheartedly seek Him, whose hearts are lukewarm towards Him? God has said that He will spew them out of His mouth – Rev 3:15  I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. Rev 3:16  So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

There are many reasons for a lack of passion; one is fear. Down through the ages men have been afraid to stand in the blinding light of God’s presence. The Israelites of old were afraid to approach Mt. Sinai – “Now when all the people saw the thunder and the flashes of lightning and the sound of the trumpet and the mountain smoking, the people were afraid and trembled, and they stood far off.” [ESV] But things have changed since Jesus came; now we can approach His throne (if we’ve been saved) and freely worship Him in the beauty of holiness without fear of being destroyed! A believer shouldn’t be afraid to enter God’s presence but there could be some sin in his life causing separation between himself and God, like Adam and Eve who when they sinned, “hid from God’s presence” – Genesis 3:8. There could also be Demonic oppression causing fear of God’s presence – this is more common than you think. In the first case, one needs to confess and repent (turn away) from his sin or sins, and return to obeying God. Having been cleansed of all unrighteousness, he/she will feel free to enter God’s holy presence again [1 Jn 1:9].

When there’s demonic oppression, the one being oppressed needs deliverance from the demons that are causing him/her to feel afraid of God’s presence. Deliverance should be a normal part of the overall Christian experience but demons keep people in the dark about this so that they remain in bondage. Jesus said He came to set the captives free! Luk 4:18  “The Ruach Adonai is on me, because He has anointed me to proclaim Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free the oppressed, [Tree of Life Version] Paul wrote, Rom 8:15  For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall again into fear; rather, you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” [Tree of Life Ver.]

Another reason believers may not be as passionate for their Lord as they should be is that they’re preoccupied with making money, chasing dreams of success, acquisition, fame, and happiness. As it is written, 1Jn 2:15  Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

Some strive to find fulfillment through the use of their talents and skills. Every good gift has come down from the Father above [James 1:17] Therefore, it’s not wrong to take pleasure in using the talents God has given, nor is it wrong to want, have, and appreciate good things in life. The problem comes when people pursue all these things with little or no thought of God who should be at the top of their list, not the bottom.

Redeemed individuals should be more passionate about spending time with their Savior than in pursuing worldly things, “for the things of this world are passing away” – 1Jn 2:17  It grieves the heart of God when His children don’t show the same passion in seeking Him as they do seeking after the things of the world.

Most everyone has probably heard of the movie, “The Passion of The Christ” by movie director/actor Mel Gibson. It’s a movie I was never drawn to and from all I’ve heard about it, I’m glad I never saw it. It contained far too much raw violence for my taste. While it’s true that Christ’s passion to save the lost is why He went to the Cross, it didn’t end there. Christ’s passion for lost souls is as strong today as it’s ever been, and so is His passion for those who have believed on Him.

What about you? Have you a passion for Christ? Has your desire for Him ever been as strong as what you’ve seen in movies or what you have felt for another human being? If not, I can tell you that you’re missing out on the single most wonderful, beautiful and exhilarating experience a human being can have this side of heaven. There simply isn’t a human experience which can surpass feeling the warmth of God’s love upon you as you bask in the pure light of His presence! God is so pleased when His children passionately desire and pursue Him above all else, that He will make them the “apple of His eye” [Deut. 30:10] and His “special possession” – Mal 3:16  Then those who revere Adonai spoke with each other, and Adonai took notice and heard, and a scroll of remembrance was written before Him, for those who revere Adonai, even those who esteem His Name. Mal 3:17  “So they shall be Mine,”—says Adonai-Tzva’ot—“ in the day I make My own special possession. [Tree of Life] I don’t know about you, but I think being God’s “special possession” far surpasses anything this world has to offer. No one can satisfy the heart’s need for love, acceptance, and fulfillment like Jesus can.

Dare to be passionate for the Lord your God; “enter into His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise” (Ps 100:4) for “in His presence is fullness of joy!” (Psalm 16:11)

“Preparing A People In 2020”

Normally I don’t like making predictions or forecasts so I may be stepping out a bit on a limb, but I feel that certain trends are moving us in the following directions –

I believe that 2020 will be a year of unexpected outcomes, a year when the plans of the wicked will be thwarted and overturned by God

I believe we may see miracles like those God performed in days of old

There will be an increase in dreams and visions for the people of God this year to help prepare them for what lies ahead including an influx of new converts who’ll need instruction and nurturance in the faith. As turmoil and fear envelopes the world, desperate people will turn to believers and clergy for answers. Believers in Christ must be ready! – 1Pe 3:15 ….and be ready always to respond to every man that asks you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and reverence. “ready” = heteos (fitness); adjusted, that is, ready: – prepared, (made) ready (-iness, to our hand).

On the negative side, I believe 2020 will be a year of unprecedented attacks on children and the family by Progressives [1] and groups like NAMBLA [2], North American Man/Boy Love Association who have powerful lobbies in Washington ever working to get laws passed that will decriminalize Pedophilia. [3]

I believe it will be a year of intensified attempts to discredit God, the Bible, and bible-believing Christians around the world by those who hate the Light. They will mock, deride and do all in their power to extinguish the Light but the people of God will not be deterred nor discouraged from spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ! These warriors of God will develop ‘eagle eyes’ to see through every stratagem of the Devil’s, and behold the glorious plan of God unfolding before them. Their steps will be ordered of the Lord and will not falter; the holy Remnant of God will stand by Him at all times. In fact, they will grow stronger and emerge victorious from the flames of persecution as did Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego from their fiery furnace –

Dan 3:1  Nebuchadnezzar the king made an image of gold, whose height was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof six cubits: he set it up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon.
Dan 3:2  Then Nebuchadnezzar the king sent to gather together the princes, the governors, and the captains, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, to come to the dedication of the image which Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.
Dan 3:3  Then the princes, the governors, and captains, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, were gathered together unto the dedication of the image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up; and they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up.
Dan 3:4  Then an herald cried aloud, To you it is commanded, O people, nations, and languages,
Dan 3:5  That at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king hath set up:
Dan 3:6  And whoso falleth not down and worshippeth shall the same hour be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace
Dan 3:7  Therefore at that time, when all the people heard the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and all kinds of musick, all the people, the nations, and the languages, fell down and worshipped the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up –
Dan 3:8  Wherefore at that time certain Chaldeans came near, and accused the Jews.
Dan 3:9  They spake and said to the king Nebuchadnezzar, O king, live for ever.
Dan 3:10  Thou, O king, hast made a decree, that every man that shall hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, shall fall down and worship the golden image
Dan 3:11  And whoso falleth not down and worshippeth, that he should be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace
Dan 3:12  There are certain Jews whom thou hast set over the affairs of the province of Babylon, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego; these men, O king, have not regarded thee: they serve not thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.
Dan 3:13  Then Nebuchadnezzar in his rage and fury commanded to bring Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Then they brought these men before the king.
Dan 3:14  Nebuchadnezzar spake and said unto them, Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, do not ye serve my gods, nor worship the golden image which I have set up?
Dan 3:15  Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands?
Dan 3:16  Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter.
Dan 3:17  If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.
Dan 3:18  But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.
Dan 3:19  Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego: therefore he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven times more than it was wont to be heated.
Dan 3:20  And he commanded the most mighty men that were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace.
Dan 3:21  Then these men were bound in their coats, their hosen, and their hats, and their other garments, and were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.
Dan 3:22  Therefore because the king’s commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flame of the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.
Dan 3:23  And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace
Dan 3:24  Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king.
Dan 3:25  He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.
Dan 3:26  Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, ye servants of the most high God, come forth, and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, came forth of the midst of the fire
Dan 3:27  And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king’s counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them.
Dan 3:28  Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king’s word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.
Dan 3:29  Therefore I make a decree, That every people, nation, and language, which speak any thing amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort.
Dan 3:30  Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, in the province of Babylon.

This passage is a sermon in itself but for now let it suffice to say that God is with His faithful ones even in the midst of terrible fiery trials. I doubt the three servants would have passed their test had they not been prepared by faithfully walking with God.

I believe the movement towards a Global economy and a One World religion will keep advancing this year but “fear not little flock” [Luk 12:32] your God has this all well in hand. He’s allowing this to take place in order to separate the true from the false, the real from the fake, and the holy from the profane.

When it looks like the Devil and his hoards are winning, some will “fall away” from the faith, but the Remnant will stand firm with the Lord. This is not a year to be sleeping but to stay awake, be alert. Believers must stay awake (spiritually) if they want to see the miracles happening in every day situations through which God speaks to us. My sensitive, lovely daughter brought this truth home this week through a circumstance which on its surface looked like nothing more than a meaningless, annoying inconvenience. Her husband accidentally locked himself out of his car with the engine running! He had no spare key, neither did she. My daughter called the police and fire departments to no avail, then tried several lock smiths who were likewise no help. Frantically she went to two auto parts stores and found one Slim Jim (lock jimmy) with which her husband was able to unlock his car door. What my sensitive daughter realized from this incident was that they were not PREPARED! She said that though they thought they were prepared this mishap showed her that they were not. She said that God gave her the word, “PREPAREDNESS” as the word of the moment, maybe of the entire year! She got it, she got the message God was speaking to her through an ordinary every day situation. She got the prophetic significance of the message as well in that it wasn’t just for the physical but also for the mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of life. Are you ready my friend for what lies ahead? It might be a good idea to spend some time this New Year’s Eve taking personal inventory to see if you’re prepared or not and make a list of those areas where you’re not, then ask God to show you what you need to do in order to get ready.

An example of unpreparedness in the Bible is The Parable of the Ten Virgins —-

Mat 25:1  Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
Mat 25:2  And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
Mat 25:3  They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them
Mat 25:4  But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps
Mat 25:5  While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
Mat 25:6  And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
Mat 25:7  Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
Mat 25:8  And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out
Mat 25:9  But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
Mat 25:10  And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
Mat 25:11  Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
Mat 25:12  But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
Mat 25:13  Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

I don’t believe the foolish virgins lost their salvation but lost out on the Wedding Supper of the Lamb because they weren’t PREPARED to go into it, their “lamps” had “gone out” from not having enough “oil” with them. Oil in the Bible is a symbol of the Holy Spirit. God is telling us through this parable that it’s imperative for believers to get filled and stay filled with the Holy Spirit if they’re to be ready for His return, and to handle whatever comes their way in days ahead. A resource you may find helpful is a book entitled: “Whisper, How to Hear the Voice of God” by Mark Batterson in which he details seven ways or methods by which God speaks to us.

A blessed and victorious New Year to the prepared and faithful Remnant of the Lord!

Peculiar & Called Out!

1Pe 2:9  But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

Tit 2:14  Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

2Pe 1:3  According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue

Rev 1:6  And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father;

Kings and priests of God are to be “holy.” To be “holy” is to be “separate” from the world because you can’t be of the world and be holy at the same time!

Words of Jesus:

Joh 15:18  If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.
Joh 15:19  If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you
Joh 15:20  Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.
Joh 15:21  But all these things will they do unto you for my name’s sake, because they know not him that sent me.

Joh 17:14  I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

1Jn 2:15  Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
1Jn 2:16  For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world
1Jn 2:17  And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

Notice, it’s those who actually “DO the will of God” that abide forever, not those who only have good intentions.

1Pe 1:15  But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
1Pe 1:16  Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. (ref. Lev. 11:44)

Words of Paul:

1Pe 4:3  For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:
1Pe 4:4  Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:
1Pe 4:5  Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead.

Conclusion: The people of Yahweh aren’t supposed to look just like the rest of the world which is preoccupied with many “lusts.” They’re supposed to look, speak, and act UNLIKE the world. They’re supposed to be a “peculiar,” HOLY people, “zealous of good works,” “priests and kings unto God.” Think of it, we’re called to be priests and kings of God! What an honor, and yet, how many take this seriously? How many are willing to give up some or any of the world to obtain the “high calling” of God?

Pressing Towards the Mark

Php 3:14  I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
Php 3:15  Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you

Amen!

Was it easy for Paul or any of the other disciples to follow Christ? Didn’t they all have to give up something to do so? Peter left his fishing career and eventually gave up his life to follow Christ. Paul suffered “many things” for the gospel’s sake. Why is it that the western, modern church believes it doesn’t have to? Corrie Ten Boom, a Dutch woman who ended up in a concentration camp for hiding Jews in Hitler’s Germany, asks that question in her books which I highly recommend.

The Cost of Discipleship

Jesus said:

Luk 14:25  And there went great multitudes with him: and he turned, and said unto them,
Luk 14:26  If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life alsohe cannot be my disciple
Luk 14:27  And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.
Luk 14:28  For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?
Luk 14:29  Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him,
Luk 14:30  Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.

Luk 14:31  Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand?

Luk 14:32  Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sendeth an ambassage, and desireth conditions of peace.

Luk 14:33  So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.

Jesus is saying that being His disciple will cost you EVERYTHING. Yes, people will mock you for being “peculiar” and not joining in with the rest of the world in its excesses. Yes, even members of your own family may turn against you and others may persecute you. That’s the “cost” of truly following Jesus, not just giving Him “lip service.”

Are you “peculiar” or do you speak, think, look, and act just like the world? I don’t mind being “peculiar” or different from the world for Jesus and the gospel’s sake. We can be in the world while not being “of” it.

THE REAL CAUSE OF VIOLENCE

For the most part I’ve tried to steer clear from political topics on this blog, but I felt compelled to write about this one, as it could have far-reaching ramifications for many.

Seems that recently someone has gotten to President Trump, he now wants new gun control legislation which includes “involuntary confinement of those deemed to be mentally ill.”

President Trump called mass shooters “mentally ill monsters” and advocated for the increased use of involuntary commitment “when necessary” during his Monday speech in response to two mass shootings over the weekend that left a total of 31 people dead. “We must reform our mental-health laws to better identify mentally disturbed individuals who may commit acts of violence,” Trump said, “and make sure those people, not only get treatment, but when necessary, involuntary confinement.”

The American Psychological Association also took issue with Trump’s comments, saying that blaming mass shootings on mental illness is “unfounded and stigmatizing.” The group went on to say a very small percentage of violence is committed by people diagnosed with or being treated for mental illnesses, adding: “The rates of mental illness are roughly the same around the world, yet other countries are not experiencing these traumatic events as often as we face them. [1]

When I heard his televised speech it sounded like he had been told exactly what to say, the words he used weren’t his own. But that’s not what bothers me most about his newly found conviction, it’s the part about “involuntary confinement of the mentally ill” which all of us should be VERY concerned about. At first glance it sounds reasonable until you ask who’s going to do the “deeming” and what criteria will they be using? How will they “deem” someone mentally ill and therefore unfit to protect himself in an increasing age of violence? How will the so called balanced folks determine who should be “involuntarily confined?” Confined where and for how long? Dear fellow American, do you realize how dangerous a law like this could be? How easily it could be extended to include ANYONE whom the powers that be feel is a threat? Somewhere down the road it could be Christians who will be “deemed” mentally ill because they believe in the Bible and a God whom the secular world has “deemed” a myth! Perhaps THIS law, if passed, could be the means by which the PTB will “involuntarily confine” Christians. I also question if the PTB aren’t using the mentally ill as a SCAPEGOAT for the mass shootings instead of considering DRUGS and other factors as likely culprits. Health care agencies express that a very small percentage of the mentally ill are violent

  • Most people with serious mental illness are never violent, and 95-97% of gun violence is NOT caused by a mental illness.
  • The Surgeon General’s Report on Mental Health concluded that the contribution of mental health conditions to violence in our society is very small. The greatest risk of violence is from individuals who have an untreated or undertreated substance use disorder either solely or in combination with a mental health condition. Successful treatment ameliorates the risk of violence.
  • A landmark 2009 study by Elbogen et al. published in the Archives of General Psychiatry found that mental illness alone is not an adequate basis for a prediction of dangerousness.
  • Given that only a tiny fraction of violent acts are perpetrated by persons with mental health conditions, efforts to bar such individuals from purchasing firearms or to increase preventive detention can have no meaningful impact on public safety. Such legislation wastes public resources, violates the civil liberties of the vast majority of people with mental illness who are not dangerous, powerfully reinforces the myth that links mental health conditions with violence, and further cements stigma in the public mind. [2]

It is a known fact that many people on drugs have committed violent crimes, so why isn’t someone talking about that? Could it be that Big Pharma would be up in arms if drugs were implicated as a large part of the problem? But facts are facts, aren’t they? Well, maybe not in the world of political correctness.

Want to talk about causes of violence in our society? Let’s start with the removal of God’s Ten Commandments from all public venues, the sixth commandment being a deterrent to violent crime, “Thou shalt not kill.”

Why would anyone take offense to that command, especially those who claim they want the killing to stop!

Let’s go to the source of our problems and quit trying to blame someone or something else for them. Gun ownership isn’t the cause of violence, nor is mental illness. The solution to gun violence isn’t more background checks, universal registration, confiscation, and especially not “involuntary confinement.” The solution to all violence is a “new heart” because violence begins in the heart of man –

Jer 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? Mar 7:21-23 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within….

In fact, ALL of man’s problems start there. But God offers a way out, He will give a “new heart” to anyone who asks for one –

Eze 36:26-27 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

If you want violence to stop then start with your own heart, does it harbor hatred towards others? Do you get angry when someone crosses you or interferes with your plans? If you truly want an end to violence, pray to God for a “new heart,” one that’s free from hate, selfishness, pride, greed, and jealousy, so that you would never commit an act of violence against your fellow man.

As It Was In the Days of Lot & Noah

Luk 17:26  And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.

Luk 17:27  They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.

Luk 17:28  Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded

Luk 17:29  But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.

Luk 17:30  Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

Luk 17:31  In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.

Luk 17:32  Remember Lot’s wife.

Luk 17:33  Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it

In both accounts, the day of destruction comes suddenly and unexpectedly upon sinners as they went about their daily business. Noah and Lot and their families were warned beforehand by angels to leave the cities they lived in so as to escape the coming judgement, but those who stayed behind were destroyed. In this article I will prove that as it was in the days of Lot and Noah, so it is now.

Gen 19:12  And the men (angels) said unto Lot, Hast thou here any besides? son in law, and thy sons, and thy daughters, and whatsoever thou hast in the city, bring them out of this place:

Gen 19:13  For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of the LORD; and the LORD hath sent us to destroy it.

Gen 19:14  And Lot went out, and spake unto his sons in law, which married his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place; for the LORD will destroy this city. But he seemed as one that mocked unto his sons in law.

Gen 19:15  And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city.

Gen 19:16  And while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the LORD being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city.

Gen 19:17  And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed.

Gen 19:18  And Lot said unto them, Oh, not so, my Lord: (Lot had doubts or just didn’t want to leave sinful Sodom?)

Gen 19:19  Behold now, thy servant hath found grace in thy sight, and thou hast magnified thy mercy, which thou hast shewed unto me in saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil take me, and I die: (Unreasoning fear or little faith? After all, Lot had an angelic escort out of Sodom!)

Gen 19:20  Behold now, this city is near to flee unto, and it is a little one: Oh, let me escape thither, (is it not a little one?) and my soul shall live.

Gen 19:21  And he (the angel) said unto him, See, I have accepted thee concerning this thing also, that I will not overthrow this city, for the which thou hast spoken.

Gen 19:22  Haste thee, escape thither; for I cannot do anything till thou become thither. Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar (insignificant, small, little, ignoble).

The Lord God allowed Lot and his family to escape to a nearby small city per Lot’s request. Sometimes He allows us to choose an alternative to His perfect will for us, but it’s never as good as there’s always some sort of drawback to it. The mountain in this passage represents the Mountain of God, the dwelling place of the Almighty! What could be a better place to flee to?

Zec 8:3 Thus saith the LORD; I am returned unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth; and the mountain of the LORD of hosts the holy mountain. Mic 4:1 But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it. Mic 4:2 And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

Could it be that Lot again chose the easier, albeit less godly path, just like when he chose to live in Sodom instead of Canaan? [Gen 13:8-12] Jesus said to His disciples, “Luk 9:23 Then Yeshua was saying to everyone, “If anyone wants to follow Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross every day, and follow Me. [Tree of Life Version] Christ hasn’t called us to an easy life! He’s called us to walk in His footsteps, to carry our own crosses (denying ourselves for the Kingdom’s sake), and to live holy, righteous lives by turning away from evil in all of its forms. Anything less is denying His right to live through and to rule over us; He purchased our souls with His own Blood, giving Him total rights over our lives – Act 20:28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own bloodHow do we deny ourselves? Let’s say someone walks up to you and insults you, your natural inclination is to defend yourself or worse, to respond in kind. Denying yourself is to deny your natural inclinations (usually sinful) and to choose obedience to God’s Word in every situation. In the above situation, you could either keep quiet and “turn the other cheek,” or respond with God’s Word in a spirit of love and gentleness if you’re at that level of spiritual maturity – Mat 5:38 – 39 Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. [1]

Responding like Jesus requires great humility of spirit and strength which only the Holy Spirit can give, and most of all perhaps, your willingness to follow Him. God always gives people a free choice to either follow Him or someone else, like yourself or the Devil. It’s not easy to ignore someone’s insults, it’s hard to “turn the other cheek,” but OBEDIENCE to God’s commands brings GREAT BLESSINGS to your life. Try it and see for yourself! But first PRAY to the Father for wisdom, guidance, and strength to do things His way, not your own way. God loves those kinds of prayers and He always answers them because they’re according to His will – 1Jn 5:14 – 15 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

God Destroys Sodom –

Gen 19:23  The sun was risen upon the earth when Lot entered into Zoar.

Gen 19:24  Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven;

Gen 19:25  And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.

Gen 19:26  But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt. (Result of her disobedience to God’s command to not look back. This may also apply to modern day Christians who stay in churches that have apostacized, or fallen away from following God.)

Gen 19:27  And Abraham gat up early in the morning to the place where he stood before the LORD:

Gen 19:28  And he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain, and beheld, and, lo, the smoke of the country went up as the smoke of a furnace.

Gen 19:29  And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when he overthrew the cities in the which Lot dwelt.

Lot and his family were told to not look back or stop anywhere along their exit route, but just keep going until they got to a safe place away from the judgement. But, his wife was so in love with the world and her worldly possessions she “looked back” towards Sodom, probably regretting leaving behind what she and her husband had there. Turning into a pillar of salt was the consequence of her looking back. Those who love God above all else won’t regret leaving this world or its goods – Luk 14:33  So likewise, any one of you that does not forsake all that he has cannot be my disciple. What this passage is saying is that looking back at what God tells us to leave behind results in loss, possibly even of life itself.

Joh 12:25  He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.

Mat 16:25  For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.

Just as God sent angels to warn righteous Lot and Noah and their families to flee the ensuing judgement to a safe place, He will do the same for His faithful ones prior to His return. Will everyone heed the warnings? Unfortunately, some will hesitate as did Lot, doubting the urgency and necessity of leaving wicked cities. Unbelievers will mock those sounding the alarm just like they did “in the days of Lot and Noah.”

We tend to put warnings like these far off into the future, not realizing that the danger is here, now. Believers who are tethered to their churches and ministries, refusing to leave them despite the obvious apostasy in their midst, ignore the warnings about staying in them – Rev 18:4. That is not to say that they will lose their salvation if they stay, but disobedience can result in a loss of rewards [Luke 12:42 – 48, Jms 4:17, John 12:48], poor health and other kinds of afflictions – 1 Cor 11:27 – 31. It could potentially cost them their lives. In one New Testament account, two members of the Church were instantly struck dead for lying to the Holy Spirit and to the apostles! [Act 5:3-5]

In a vast number of churches, the voice of the Bride and the Bride Groom (Jesus Christ) are no longer heard – Rev 18:23. Because of great Apostasy Jesus and His Bride have left the churches who have abandoned Him! How have they abandoned Him you ask? By not obeying His instructions in the bible which were written to show men how to live right, and by allowing all manner of evil into the Church. You say that God would never leave unfaithful churches? Then consider this –

2Ch 15:2  And he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The LORD is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you.

Heb 12:25  See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven:

Heb 12:26  Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.

A great shaking is coming and has already begun. God has been shaking the earth and its inhabitants but not all have perceived it. Shaking in the financial, social, and religious spheres are happening everyday. Between 2017 and 2018 there was an avalanche of sex scandals which came out into the open, not just in the church, but among political figures and entertainers. For months that’s all one heard about in the news. Reports and court filings of sex crimes in that period were unprecedented in American history.

“As it was in the days of Lot…..”

Is it all just happenstance or is it being orchestrated by the Omnipotent God as part of His great shaking of the earth and its inhabitants? I believe it’s the latter and His great shaking isn’t over, there’s a whole lot more to come. We have more rioting and protests against governments in various parts of the world than ever before. We have politicians and haters of freedom pitting races against one another in hopes of starting a race war so that martial law will need to be enacted in order to keep the peace, at which point people lose their freedoms! In Hitler’s Germany all weapons were taken away from the people, which left them defenseless against anything the German government wanted to do. Every despotic government in history has deployed some form of martial law upon its citizenry, including gun confiscation which won’t quell the violence in men’s hearts.

Despite there being a ‘whole lot of shaking going on,’ most people seem bewildered, not perceiving that there’s a direct correlation between bible prophecy and what’s happening now. God has warned in His Word and by angelic messengers, that these things would come upon a disbelieving and ungodly world, so it shouldn’t come as any surprise and yet even many believers will be taken by surprise and caught off guard, although they shouldn’t be – Luke 21:34, Mk 13:35-37, 1 Pet 4:7, Rev 3:3. All these things which have occurred before, will occur again just before the second coming of Jesus Christ the Ha Maschiach (Messiah / Savior) of the world – “So shall it be also in the days of the Son of Man.”

Taking into account all of the above, it would seem that the days in which we’re living are just like the days of Lot and Noah!

None of the wicked will understand but the righteous do, and they are prepared for Christ’s second coming. Are you? Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation [Acts 4:12] so I implore you to turn away from sin and invite Him to be your Lord and Savior. Rom 10:9 For if you confess with your mouth that Yeshua is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. [Tree of Life Version]

Not but that a man may lawfully defend himself, and endeavour to secure himself from injuries; and may appear to the civil magistrate for redress of grievances; but he is not to make use of private revenge. As if a man should pluck out one of his eyes, he must not in revenge pluck out one of his; or should he strike out one of his teeth, he must not use him in the same manner; but patiently bear the affront, or seek for satisfaction in another way. [John Gill’s Exposition of the Bible]

That is, rather than avenge thyself, be ready to suffer patiently a repetition of the same injury. But these exhortations belong to those principally who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake. Let such leave the judgment of their cause to Him for whose sake they suffer. The Jews always thought that every outrage should be resented; and thus the spirit of hatred and strife was fostered. [Adam Clarke’s Commentary]

The type of submissive meekness enjoined by Christ in these verses must appear very difficult to the people who have never tried it; but actually, this presents the most exciting and thrilling approach to life and its problems that can possibly be imagined. Those who have tried it unanimously affirm that it works. [Coffman’s Commentaries on the Bible]

STICKS AND STONES

As a child I learned this little rhyme, “sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me.” But, as most of us have found out, words DO hurt, and sometimes quite a lot.

There’s a type of “hate speech” that goes on all the time which no one talks about. What’s commonly called “hate speech” these days isn’t always, while real “hate speech” is being overlooked or ignored.

Anytime someone cusses at or calls a person a bad name, they’re criticizing a human being who is made in God’s image and likeness! God doesn’t take kindly to the person who diminishes and puts down His crowning creation – MAN! In essence, when you criticize, put down, cuss out, and call others ugly names, you’re insulting God since all human beings are made in His image. Think about that for a moment. Calling someone a bitch or bastard for instance is not only hurtful but is the devil’s attempt to diminish the sacredness of that person. Calling people derogatory names shows a great lack of respect for them, and no one deserves to be treated that way no matter what they’ve said or done.

Whoever does such things is a HATER, and all such speech is abusive HATE SPEECH!

God has said, 1Jn 3:15 Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him. 1Jn 2:9 He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.

In fact, God despises such speech so much that He gives this stern warning –

Mat 5:22 but I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother out of control shall be in danger of the judgment, and whosoever shall insult his brother shall be in danger of the council, but whosoever shall say, Thou art impious, shall be in danger of hell. [Jubilee Bible]

Mat 5:22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. [KJV]

The KJV states that you shall be in danger of judgment if you’re angry with your brother – eikē, inconsiderably, without purpose, without just cause [Thayer’s Greek Definitions] In other words, you better have a valid reason for being angry with someone. Lots of times we get angry at someone just because what they said was right and it put us in our place by showing us where we were wrong. Sometimes people get angry at those who hold different political or religious views from theirs which can lead to violence. Victims of displaced anger often dump their anger onto some innocent person in an attempt to rid themselves of it. There are many forms and variations of unjust, selfish and purposeless anger; all of which place the perpetrator in danger of judgement and or hell fire, according to God’s Word!

I like the Jubilee bible version where it says “out of control.” In essence what it’s saying is that not all anger is unjustified, just ‘out of control’ anger like yelling, cussing, calling people ugly names, tearing them down, and causing them physical, emotional, and or mental harm and anguish. People who allow their tempers to get out of control are capable of doing great harm to their neighbors, which is why God warns us to control, or have dominion over our emotions. People in control of their anger don’t lash out at others but are able to calmly and quietly talk about what’s bothering them. This is the adult way to work out conflicts whenever they arise between individuals and or groups. Eph 4:31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you…

Anger is one of several emotions God gave to humans for a reason. Some situations merit our anger – child abuse and neglect, wife beating, and animal abuse just to name a few. Anger is a signal that something is wrong; it’s also a normal and healthy reaction to being treated unjustly. Anger requires taking action, like confronting someone who’s wronged you or others. Anger over genocide and other injustices can energize you towards seeking a solution to those crimes. God says that ANGER in itself is NOT sin. Anger when it’s under one’s control isn’t sinful – Eph 4:26 Be ye angry, and sin not…. It’s only out-of-control, undeserved, and purposeless anger (that which serves no good purpose) and the behavior which follows that is sinful. The family pet doesn’t deserve to be kicked nor does kicking it serve any useful purpose, and children don’t deserve to be battered. Anyone doing such things is not in control of his or her temper and needs spiritual and or psychological help.

One prominent biblical example of out-of-control anger is that of Cain who slew his brother Abel because he was jealous of Abel’s close relationship with God –

Gen 4:2 And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.

Gen 4:3 And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD.

Gen 4:4 And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering:

Gen 4:5 But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell. (*’wroth’ is Old English for ‘angry.’)

Gen 4:6 And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?

Gen 4:7 If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.

Gen 4:8 And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.

Gen 4:9 And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother’s keeper?

Gen 4:10 And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother’s blood crieth unto me from the ground.

Cain failed to get dominion or control over his anger and as a result killed his brother in a fit of rage. From then on Cain’s life was cursed, for the act of murder carries a curse. Deuteronomy 27:24 Cursed is he that smites his neighbour secretly. An example of how a curse can play out – 2 Samuel 12:9 – 11 Why, therefore, hast thou despised the commandment of the LORD, to do evil in his sight? Thou hast killed Uriah, the Hittite, with the sword and hast taken his wife to be thy wife and hast slain him with the sword of the sons of Ammon. Now, therefore, the sword shall never depart from thy house because thou hast despised me and hast taken the wife of Uriah, the Hittite, to be thy wife. Thus hath the LORD said, Behold, I will raise up evil against thee out of thy own house, and I will take thy wives before thy eyes and give them unto thy neighbour,….

The fifth commandment states, Exo 20:13 “Thou shalt not murder” [Jubilee Bible Version, Revised Version, Tree of Life Version, & Young’s Literal Translation] The KJV renders it as “Thou shalt not kill,” but within the Hebrew word râtsach, are definitions such as “murder” and “man-slayer.” There’s a significant difference between committing murder and killing someone accidentally or lawfully. Take Capital Punishment for example – Whoso sheddeth man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man. Genesis 9:5-6. And he that killeth any man shall surely be put to death. Leviticus 24:17 Capital Punishment originated with the Bible, so did God break His own law by commanding the killing of those who murder others? If He did, we’re all in a heap of trouble as that would mean we can’t rely on His Word (the bible) and we’re left to figure things out for ourselves. I know there are those who believe that to be the case, but they’re wrong. God didn’t break His own law as not all killing is unlawful, and we’re not left to figure out for ourselves what’s right and wrong. God gives specific instructions in both old and new testaments on how to deal with anger and other human emotions. Those who ignore God’s instructions are foolish the bible says, Mat 7:26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: Mat 7:27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it. All the instructions necessary for living well are in the Bible, and those who take hold of them are wise, Mat 7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: Mat 7:25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

So, why not take hold of God’s instructions in the Bible and be “wise” instead of “foolish?”

SHAFTS OF LIGHT DREAM

JULY 17, 2019

In this dream I saw some young men fighting in a ring of sorts. I saw other larger, stronger men or beings throwing punches at the young men. For a while one young man held his own but soon the larger men began to overpower him and he grew weak. At that point he looked up to heaven and prayed for help. Immediately a shaft of light appeared overhead and came down into the ring with him. Some of the light from it fell upon the man as if it were liquid light pouring over and around him. Then the man reached inside the shaft of light and pulled something out of it and returned to the fight.

A little while later the man grew tired again and feeling overwhelmed and weak he looked up to heaven this time with both hands turned upward as if to plead, “Now what?” or “I don’t know what to do!!” “Please, tell me what to do!” Immediately, another shaft of light dropped down from heaven just like before, and stood in front of the man, and some of its light fell on him, and again he reached into the shaft of light. Inside the shaft of light I saw what looked like long, thick ropes all entwined or wrapped around each other, there was also light around them. The young man stood there looking at the ropes inside the shaft of light. As if to instruct him, I thought out loud, “Pull the ropes out!” Immediately, the young man reached into the shaft of light and taking hold of them pulled them out. Somehow I knew that cord of ropes or whatever it was, would help the young man in his battle with the larger, more powerful men who were throwing punches at him.

Interpretation:

This was a spiritual dream in which the young men most likely represent Christian believers fighting against wickedness and demonic beings in the world at present. The ‘ring’ represents the arena of life. As in real life, Christians sometimes grow weary battling wickedness, and feeling overwhelmed, they become disheartened by it. They keep fighting against the onslaught of evil but at times feel as though they’re losing the battle. Even ‘young men’ grow weary and faint – Isa 40:30 & 31. The ‘young men’ are strong believers, not children in the Faith, who know how to overcome the evil one with the Word of God – 1 John 2:12-14.

What I believe the dream was showing me, is that at such times the weary Christian is to look up to heaven for help, and he will receive it, as did the man in the dream depicted by the shaft of light which came down from heaven containing provision in it to strengthen and reinvigorate him for the battle. Just standing there looking at the ropes is of no use – you have to grab hold of them and use them in the battle. That part makes me think the ropes could be a picture of the weapons of our warfare which are spiritual, not physical; prayer, the Word of God, the Holy Spirit, etc. – Eph. 6:10 – 202 Cor. 10:4, & Rom 13:12  The night is past, and the day is come; let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us clothe ourselves with the weapons of light

I believe the dream is also saying that the only way Christians can hold their own against wickedness and demonic beings constantly warring against them and their faith, is with help from heaven. I believe the dream was sent as an encouragement. The ‘ropes’ wrapped around each other may also represent the “three-fold cord” spoken of in Scripture which is the Father and Son wrapping themselves around the Christian. Scripture tells us that such a cord “is not easily broken!” [Ecclesiastes 4:12] In other words, we don’t have to, and aren’t expected to stand alone in the battle between good and evil – we find strength in union with strong believers and especially with God – Luke 10:1.

While this dream may have been sent for my benefit primarily, I thought it might also be an encouragement for others feeling battle weary at this point in time, which is why I’ve posted it. May it bless you.

Who’s Taken and Who’s Left?

Hear what Jesus says  happens at the end of this age and how the unjust are separated from the just —

Mat 13:47  Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:
Mat 13:48  Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.
Mat 13:49  So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,
Mat 13:50  And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Which vessels were “left” in the boat? The “good” ones! The “bad” vessels were “cast away!” Jesus went on to say that this is how it will be at the end of the world. No pre-trib rapture, the “just” aren’t taken up and away, just the opposite, the “just” are LEFT while the “wicked” are “cast into a fiery furnace.”

Joh 15:2  Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
Joh 15:6  If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. [1]

Those who don’t abide (remain) in Christ are “cast forth” and gathered by angels (Angels are often called “men” in the bible) who “cast the unfruitful into the fire.” Notice which branches were “taken away” – the unfruitful ones.

Mat 13:27  So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? (darnel or false grain; a metaphor for false believers)
Mat 13:28  He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?
Mat 13:29  But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.
Mat 13:30  Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, (angels) Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

Again, the “tares” or false believers are gathered up and bound in bundles to be burned, while the “wheat” or true believers are gathered into Jesus’s barn. Who gets gathered up FIRST? It’s the tares, not the wheat!

Mat 13:36  Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.
Mat 13:37  He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;
Mat 13:38  The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one
Mat 13:39  The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.
Mat 13:40  As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world
Mat 13:41  The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
Mat 13:42  And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Mat 13:43  Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear

In this passage Jesus spells it out plainly – the angels reap the final harvest gathering the unjust FIRST and casting them into the furnace. THEN the righteous shine forth in his father’s kingdom. No Pre-Trib rapture of the saints is evident in this or any of the aforementioned passages.

Mat 24:29  Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
Mat 24:30  And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
Mat 24:31  And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

When are the “elect” gathered? IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE TRIBULATION and not before!

1Th 4:14  For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
1Th 4:15  For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
1Th 4:16  For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
1Th 4:17  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Here Paul says that those saints still alive at Christ’s coming won’t be “caught up” (taken up) until AFTER the “dead in Christ” arise. This is a very strong passage which states plainly the order in which saints are taken up into the air and which also refutes a Pre-Trib Rapture. How can there be a Pre-Trib Rapture of living saints when ALL God’s saints, dead or alive are taken up TOGETHER at the same time???

I would like to see one bible verse or passage which clearly shows that SOME saints will be taken or caught up to meet the Lord in the air BEFORE the Tribulation period. Anyone who knows of such a verse, please write to me about it. And, I’m not talking about some allegorical interpretation involving the Jewish wedding ceremony by which some have concluded that there is a “catching up” of SOME saints who have proved themselves worthy to escape the Tribulation, while other, carnal believers are “left” behind to suffer through it. I’d love to see just one solid piece of evidence, one sure word of Scripture to back up such interpretations.

Why is this important you might ask? It’s very important to know everything you can about Christ’s Second Coming so that you can be ready to meet Him when He comes. Many I think, will be unprepared, having been lulled to sleep by false shepherds telling them that they will be RAPTURED out of the world BEFORE the Great Tribulation starts. Whoever believes those shepherds and doesn’t search out the Word of God for themselves is going to be DECEIVED thinking that they won’t have to endure that which is coming to “try the WHOLE EARTH” [Rev 3:10].

1Pe 4:12  Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
1Pe 4:13  But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.
1Pe 4:14  If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.
1Pe 4:1  Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
2Ti 3:12  Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
1Pe 2:20  For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.
1Pe 2:21  For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:
1Th 3:3  That no man should be moved by these afflictions: for yourselves know that we are appointed thereunto
1Th 3:4  For verily, when we were with you, we told you before that we should suffer tribulation; even as it came to pass, and ye know.
2Ti 3:12  Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution
Mat 10:22  And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.

Who shall be SAVED? He that endureth to the END of this Age; who remains faithful to the Lord Jesus Christ while enduring persecution and tribulation.

I wonder how people can ignore the preponderance of scriptural evidence for a Pre-Wrath or Post Tribulation “catching up” of the saints and cling to a Pre-Trib Rapture. Could it be a matter of not wanting to suffer for Christ, of not wanting to bear the shame of the Cross, preferring to live in agreement with the world and in so doing, avoid persecution and tribulation? Truth is, there will be no escaping persecution and tribulation in this world if you’re a true follower of Jesus Christ, for to such we have been called!
