THE REAL CAUSE OF VIOLENCE

For the most part I’ve tried to steer clear from political topics on this blog, but I felt compelled to write about this one, as it could have far-reaching ramifications for many.

Seems that recently someone has gotten to President Trump, he now wants new gun control legislation which includes “involuntary confinement of those deemed to be mentally ill.”

President Trump called mass shooters “mentally ill monsters” and advocated for the increased use of involuntary commitment “when necessary” during his Monday speech in response to two mass shootings over the weekend that left a total of 31 people dead. “We must reform our mental-health laws to better identify mentally disturbed individuals who may commit acts of violence,” Trump said, “and make sure those people, not only get treatment, but when necessary, involuntary confinement.”

The American Psychological Association also took issue with Trump’s comments, saying that blaming mass shootings on mental illness is “unfounded and stigmatizing.” The group went on to say a very small percentage of violence is committed by people diagnosed with or being treated for mental illnesses, adding: “The rates of mental illness are roughly the same around the world, yet other countries are not experiencing these traumatic events as often as we face them. [1]

When I heard his televised speech it sounded like he had been told exactly what to say, the words he used weren’t his own. But that’s not what bothers me most about his newly found conviction, it’s the part about “involuntary confinement of the mentally ill” which all of us should be VERY concerned about. At first glance it sounds reasonable until you ask who’s going to do the “deeming” and what criteria will they be using? How will they “deem” someone mentally ill and therefore unfit to protect himself in an increasing age of violence? How will the so called balanced folks determine who should be “involuntarily confined?” Confined where and for how long? Dear fellow American, do you realize how dangerous a law like this could be? How easily it could be extended to include ANYONE whom the powers that be feel is a threat? Somewhere down the road it could be Christians who will be “deemed” mentally ill because they believe in the Bible and a God whom the secular world has “deemed” a myth! Perhaps THIS law, if passed, could be the means by which the PTB will “involuntarily confine” Christians. I also question if the PTB aren’t using the mentally ill as a SCAPEGOAT for the mass shootings instead of considering DRUGS and other factors as likely culprits. Health care agencies express that a very small percentage of the mentally ill are violent

  • Most people with serious mental illness are never violent, and 95-97% of gun violence is NOT caused by a mental illness.
  • The Surgeon General’s Report on Mental Health concluded that the contribution of mental health conditions to violence in our society is very small. The greatest risk of violence is from individuals who have an untreated or undertreated substance use disorder either solely or in combination with a mental health condition. Successful treatment ameliorates the risk of violence.
  • A landmark 2009 study by Elbogen et al. published in the Archives of General Psychiatry found that mental illness alone is not an adequate basis for a prediction of dangerousness.
  • Given that only a tiny fraction of violent acts are perpetrated by persons with mental health conditions, efforts to bar such individuals from purchasing firearms or to increase preventive detention can have no meaningful impact on public safety. Such legislation wastes public resources, violates the civil liberties of the vast majority of people with mental illness who are not dangerous, powerfully reinforces the myth that links mental health conditions with violence, and further cements stigma in the public mind. [2]

It is a known fact that many people on drugs have committed violent crimes, so why isn’t someone talking about that? Could it be that Big Pharma would be up in arms if drugs were implicated as a large part of the problem? But facts are facts, aren’t they? Well, maybe not in the world of political correctness.

Want to talk about causes of violence in our society? Let’s start with the removal of God’s Ten Commandments from all public venues, the sixth commandment being a deterrent to violent crime, “Thou shalt not kill.”

Why would anyone take offense to that command, especially those who claim they want the killing to stop!

Let’s go to the source of our problems and quit trying to blame someone or something else for them. Gun ownership isn’t the cause of violence, nor is mental illness. The solution to gun violence isn’t more background checks, universal registration, confiscation, and especially not “involuntary confinement.” The solution to all violence is a “new heart” because violence begins in the heart of man –

Jer 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? Mar 7:21-23 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within….

In fact, ALL of man’s problems start there. But God offers a way out, He will give a “new heart” to anyone who asks for one –

Eze 36:26-27 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. 

If you want violence to stop then start with your own heart, does it harbor hatred towards others? Do you get angry when someone crosses you or interferes with your plans? If you truly want an end to violence, pray to God for a “new heart,” one that’s free from hate, selfishness, pride, greed, and jealousy, so that you would never commit an act of violence against your fellow man.

As It Was In the Days of Lot & Noah

Luk 17:26  And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. 

Luk 17:27  They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.

Luk 17:28  Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded

Luk 17:29  But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. 

Luk 17:30  Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed. 

Luk 17:31  In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back. 

Luk 17:32  Remember Lot’s wife. 

Luk 17:33  Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it

In both accounts, the day of destruction comes suddenly and unexpectedly upon sinners as they went about their daily business. Noah and Lot and their families were warned beforehand by angels to leave the cities they lived in so as to escape the coming judgement, but those who stayed behind were destroyed. In this article I will prove that as it was in the days of Lot and Noah, so it is now.

Gen 19:12  And the men (angels) said unto Lot, Hast thou here any besides? son in law, and thy sons, and thy daughters, and whatsoever thou hast in the city, bring them out of this place:

Gen 19:13  For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of the LORD; and the LORD hath sent us to destroy it.

Gen 19:14  And Lot went out, and spake unto his sons in law, which married his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place; for the LORD will destroy this city. But he seemed as one that mocked unto his sons in law.

Gen 19:15  And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city.

Gen 19:16  And while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the LORD being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city.

Gen 19:17  And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed.

Gen 19:18  And Lot said unto them, Oh, not so, my Lord: (Lot had doubts or just didn’t want to leave sinful Sodom?)

Gen 19:19  Behold now, thy servant hath found grace in thy sight, and thou hast magnified thy mercy, which thou hast shewed unto me in saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil take me, and I die: (Unreasoning fear or little faith? After all, Lot had an angelic escort out of Sodom!)

Gen 19:20  Behold now, this city is near to flee unto, and it is a little one: Oh, let me escape thither, (is it not a little one?) and my soul shall live.

Gen 19:21  And he (the angel) said unto him, See, I have accepted thee concerning this thing also, that I will not overthrow this city, for the which thou hast spoken.

Gen 19:22  Haste thee, escape thither; for I cannot do anything till thou become thither. Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar (insignificant, small, little, ignoble).

The Lord God allowed Lot and his family to escape to a nearby small city per Lot’s request. Sometimes He allows us to choose an alternative to His perfect will for us, but it’s never as good as there’s always some sort of drawback to it. The mountain in this passage represents the Mountain of God, the dwelling place of the Almighty! What could be a better place to flee to?

Zec 8:3 Thus saith the LORD; I am returned unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth; and the mountain of the LORD of hosts the holy mountain. Mic 4:1 But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it. Mic 4:2 And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

Could it be that Lot again chose the easier, albeit less godly path, just like when he chose to live in Sodom instead of Canaan? [Gen 13:8-12] Jesus said to His disciples, “Luk 9:23 Then Yeshua was saying to everyone, “If anyone wants to follow Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross every day, and follow Me. [Tree of Life Version] Christ hasn’t called us to an easy life! He’s called us to walk in His footsteps, to carry our own crosses (denying ourselves for the Kingdom’s sake), and to live holy, righteous lives by turning away from evil in all of its forms. Anything less is denying His right to live through and to rule over us; He purchased our souls with His own Blood, giving Him total rights over our lives – Act 20:28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own bloodHow do we deny ourselves? Let’s say someone walks up to you and insults you, your natural inclination is to defend yourself or worse, to respond in kind. Denying yourself is to deny your natural inclinations (usually sinful) and to choose obedience to God’s Word in every situation. In the above situation, you could either keep quiet and “turn the other cheek,” or respond with God’s Word in a spirit of love and gentleness if you’re at that level of spiritual maturity – Mat 5:38 – 39 Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. [1]

Responding like Jesus requires great humility of spirit and strength which only the Holy Spirit can give, and most of all perhaps, your willingness to follow Him. God always gives people a free choice to either follow Him or someone else, like yourself or the Devil. It’s not easy to ignore someone’s insults, it’s hard to “turn the other cheek,” but OBEDIENCE to God’s commands brings GREAT BLESSINGS to your life. Try it and see for yourself! But first PRAY to the Father for wisdom, guidance, and strength to do things His way, not your own way. God loves those kinds of prayers and He always answers them because they’re according to His will – 1Jn 5:14 – 15 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. 

God Destroys Sodom –

Gen 19:23  The sun was risen upon the earth when Lot entered into Zoar.

Gen 19:24  Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven;

Gen 19:25  And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.

Gen 19:26  But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt. (Result of her disobedience to God’s command to not look back. This may also apply to modern day Christians who stay in churches that have apostacized, or fallen away from following God.)

Gen 19:27  And Abraham gat up early in the morning to the place where he stood before the LORD:

Gen 19:28  And he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain, and beheld, and, lo, the smoke of the country went up as the smoke of a furnace.

Gen 19:29  And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when he overthrew the cities in the which Lot dwelt.

Lot and his family were told to not look back or stop anywhere along their exit route, but just keep going until they got to a safe place away from the judgement. But, his wife was so in love with the world and her worldly possessions she “looked back” towards Sodom, probably regretting leaving behind what she and her husband had there. Turning into a pillar of salt was the consequence of her looking back. Those who love God above all else won’t regret leaving this world or its goods – Luk 14:33  So likewise, any one of you that does not forsake all that he has cannot be my disciple. What this passage is saying is that looking back at what God tells us to leave behind results in loss, possibly even of life itself.

Joh 12:25  He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.

Mat 16:25  For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.

Just as God sent angels to warn righteous Lot and Noah and their families to flee the ensuing judgement to a safe place, He will do the same for His faithful ones prior to His return. Will everyone heed the warnings? Unfortunately, some will hesitate as did Lot, doubting the urgency and necessity of leaving wicked cities. Unbelievers will mock those sounding the alarm just like they did “in the days of Lot and Noah.”

We tend to put warnings like these far off into the future, not realizing that the danger is here, now. Believers who are tethered to their churches and ministries, refusing to leave them despite the obvious apostasy in their midst, ignore the warnings about staying in them – Rev 18:4. That is not to say that they will lose their salvation if they stay, but disobedience can result in a loss of rewards [Luke 12:42 – 48, Jms 4:17, John 12:48], poor health and other kinds of afflictions – 1 Cor 11:27 – 31. It could potentially cost them their lives. In one New Testament account, two members of the Church were instantly struck dead for lying to the Holy Spirit and to the apostles! [Act 5:3-5]

In a vast number of churches, the voice of the Bride and the Bride Groom (Jesus Christ) are no longer heard – Rev 18:23. Because of great Apostasy Jesus and His Bride have left the churches who have abandoned Him! How have they abandoned Him you ask? By not obeying His instructions in the bible which were written to show men how to live right, and by allowing all manner of evil into the Church. You say that God would never leave unfaithful churches? Then consider this –

2Ch 15:2  And he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The LORD is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you.

Heb 12:25  See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven:

Heb 12:26  Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.

A great shaking is coming and has already begun. God has been shaking the earth and its inhabitants but not all have perceived it. Shaking in the financial, social, and religious spheres are happening everyday. Between 2017 and 2018 there was an avalanche of sex scandals which came out into the open, not just in the church, but among political figures and entertainers. For months that’s all one heard about in the news. Reports and court filings of sex crimes in that period were unprecedented in American history.

“As it was in the days of Lot…..”

Is it all just happenstance or is it being orchestrated by the Omnipotent God as part of His great shaking of the earth and its inhabitants? I believe it’s the latter and His great shaking isn’t over, there’s a whole lot more to come. We have more rioting and protests against governments in various parts of the world than ever before. We have politicians and haters of freedom pitting races against one another in hopes of starting a race war so that martial law will need to be enacted in order to keep the peace, at which point people lose their freedoms! In Hitler’s Germany all weapons were taken away from the people, which left them defenseless against anything the German government wanted to do. Every despotic government in history has deployed some form of martial law upon its citizenry, including gun confiscation which won’t quell the violence in men’s hearts.

Despite there being a ‘whole lot of shaking going on,’ most people seem bewildered, not perceiving that there’s a direct correlation between bible prophecy and what’s happening now. God has warned in His Word and by angelic messengers, that these things would come upon a disbelieving and ungodly world, so it shouldn’t come as any surprise and yet even many believers will be taken by surprise and caught off guard, although they shouldn’t be – Luke 21:34, Mk 13:35-37, 1 Pet 4:7, Rev 3:3. All these things which have occurred before, will occur again just before the second coming of Jesus Christ the Ha Maschiach (Messiah / Savior) of the world – “So shall it be also in the days of the Son of Man.”

Taking into account all of the above, it would seem that the days in which we’re living are just like the days of Lot and Noah!

None of the wicked will understand but the righteous do, and they are prepared for Christ’s second coming. Are you? Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation [Acts 4:12] so I implore you to turn away from sin and invite Him to be your Lord and Savior. Rom 10:9 For if you confess with your mouth that Yeshua is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. [Tree of Life Version]

The type of submissive meekness enjoined by Christ in these verses must appear very difficult to the people who have never tried it; but actually, this presents the most exciting and thrilling approach to life and its problems that can possibly be imagined. STICKS AND STONES

As a child I learned this little rhyme, “sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me.” But, as most of us have found out, words DO hurt, and sometimes quite a lot.

There’s a type of “hate speech” that goes on all the time which no one talks about. What’s commonly called “hate speech” these days isn’t always, while real “hate speech” is being overlooked or ignored.

Anytime someone cusses at or calls a person a bad name, they’re criticizing a human being who is made in God’s image and likeness! God doesn’t take kindly to the person who diminishes and puts down His crowning creation – MAN! In essence, when you criticize, put down, cuss out, and call others ugly names, you’re insulting God since all human beings are made in His image. Think about that for a moment. Calling someone a bitch or bastard for instance is not only hurtful but is the devil’s attempt to diminish the sacredness of that person. Calling people derogatory names shows a great lack of respect for them, and no one deserves to be treated that way no matter what they’ve said or done.

Whoever does such things is a HATER, and all such speech is abusive HATE SPEECH!

God has said, 1Jn 3:15 Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him. 1Jn 2:9 He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.

In fact, God despises such speech so much that He gives this stern warning –

Mat 5:22 but I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother out of control shall be in danger of the judgment, and whosoever shall insult his brother shall be in danger of the council, but whosoever shall say, Thou art impious, shall be in danger of hell. [Jubilee Bible]

Mat 5:22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. [KJV]

The KJV states that you shall be in danger of judgment if you’re angry with your brother – eikē, inconsiderably, without purpose, without just cause [Thayer’s Greek Definitions] In other words, you better have a valid reason for being angry with someone. Lots of times we get angry at someone just because what they said was right and it put us in our place by showing us where we were wrong. Sometimes people get angry at those who hold different political or religious views from theirs which can lead to violence. Victims of displaced anger often dump their anger onto some innocent person in an attempt to rid themselves of it. There are many forms and variations of unjust, selfish and purposeless anger; all of which place the perpetrator in danger of judgement and or hell fire, according to God’s Word!

I like the Jubilee bible version where it says “out of control.” In essence what it’s saying is that not all anger is unjustified, just ‘out of control’ anger like yelling, cussing, calling people ugly names, tearing them down, and causing them physical, emotional, and or mental harm and anguish. People who allow their tempers to get out of control are capable of doing great harm to their neighbors, which is why God warns us to control, or have dominion over our emotions. People in control of their anger don’t lash out at others but are able to calmly and quietly talk about what’s bothering them. This is the adult way to work out conflicts whenever they arise between individuals and or groups. Eph 4:31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you…

Anger is one of several emotions God gave to humans for a reason. Some situations merit our anger – child abuse and neglect, wife beating, and animal abuse just to name a few. Anger is a signal that something is wrong; it’s also a normal and healthy reaction to being treated unjustly. Anger requires taking action, like confronting someone who’s wronged you or others. Anger over genocide and other injustices can energize you towards seeking a solution to those crimes. God says that ANGER in itself is NOT sin. Anger when it’s under one’s control isn’t sinful – Eph 4:26 Be ye angry, and sin not…. It’s only out-of-control, undeserved, and purposeless anger (that which serves no good purpose) and the behavior which follows that is sinful. The family pet doesn’t deserve to be kicked nor does kicking it serve any useful purpose, and children don’t deserve to be battered. Anyone doing such things is not in control of his or her temper and needs spiritual and or psychological help.

One prominent biblical example of out-of-control anger is that of Cain who slew his brother Abel because he was jealous of Abel’s close relationship with God –

Gen 4:2 And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.

Gen 4:3 And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD.

Gen 4:4 And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering:

Gen 4:5 But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell. (*’wroth’ is Old English for ‘angry.’)

Gen 4:6 And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?

Gen 4:7 If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.

Gen 4:8 And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.

Gen 4:9 And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother’s keeper?

Gen 4:10 And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother’s blood crieth unto me from the ground.

Cain failed to get dominion or control over his anger and as a result killed his brother in a fit of rage. From then on Cain’s life was cursed, for the act of murder carries a curse. Deuteronomy 27:24 Cursed is he that smites his neighbour secretly. An example of how a curse can play out – 2 Samuel 12:9 – 11 Why, therefore, hast thou despised the commandment of the LORD, to do evil in his sight? Thou hast killed Uriah, the Hittite, with the sword and hast taken his wife to be thy wife and hast slain him with the sword of the sons of Ammon. Now, therefore, the sword shall never depart from thy house because thou hast despised me and hast taken the wife of Uriah, the Hittite, to be thy wife. Thus hath the LORD said, Behold, I will raise up evil against thee out of thy own house, and I will take thy wives before thy eyes and give them unto thy neighbour,….

The fifth commandment states, Exo 20:13 “Thou shalt not murder” [Jubilee Bible Version, Revised Version, Tree of Life Version, & Young’s Literal Translation] The KJV renders it as “Thou shalt not kill,” but within the Hebrew word râtsach, are definitions such as “murder” and “man-slayer.” There’s a significant difference between committing murder and killing someone accidentally or lawfully. Take Capital Punishment for example – Whoso sheddeth man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man. Genesis 9:5-6. And he that killeth any man shall surely be put to death. Leviticus 24:17 Capital Punishment originated with the Bible, so did God break His own law by commanding the killing of those who murder others? If He did, we’re all in a heap of trouble as that would mean we can’t rely on His Word (the bible) and we’re left to figure things out for ourselves. I know there are those who believe that to be the case, but they’re wrong. God didn’t break His own law as not all killing is unlawful, and we’re not left to figure out for ourselves what’s right and wrong. God gives specific instructions in both old and new testaments on how to deal with anger and other human emotions. Those who ignore God’s instructions are foolish the bible says, Mat 7:26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: Mat 7:27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it. All the instructions necessary for living well are in the Bible, and those who take hold of them are wise, Mat 7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: Mat 7:25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

So, why not take hold of God’s instructions in the Bible and be “wise” instead of “foolish?”

SHAFTS OF LIGHT DREAM

JULY 17, 2019

In this dream I saw some young men fighting in a ring of sorts. I saw other larger, stronger men or beings throwing punches at the young men. For a while one young man held his own but soon the larger men began to overpower him and he grew weak. At that point he looked up to heaven and prayed for help. Immediately a shaft of light appeared overhead and came down into the ring with him. Some of the light from it fell upon the man as if it were liquid light pouring over and around him. Then the man reached inside the shaft of light and pulled something out of it and returned to the fight.

A little while later the man grew tired again and feeling overwhelmed and weak he looked up to heaven this time with both hands turned upward as if to plead, “Now what?” or “I don’t know what to do!!” “Please, tell me what to do!” Immediately, another shaft of light dropped down from heaven just like before, and stood in front of the man, and some of its light fell on him, and again he reached into the shaft of light. Inside the shaft of light I saw what looked like long, thick ropes all entwined or wrapped around each other, there was also light around them. The young man stood there looking at the ropes inside the shaft of light. As if to instruct him, I thought out loud, “Pull the ropes out!” Immediately, the young man reached into the shaft of light and taking hold of them pulled them out. Somehow I knew that cord of ropes or whatever it was, would help the young man in his battle with the larger, more powerful men who were throwing punches at him.

Interpretation:

This was a spiritual dream in which the young men most likely represent Christian believers fighting against wickedness and demonic beings in the world at present. The ‘ring’ represents the arena of life. As in real life, Christians sometimes grow weary battling wickedness, and feeling overwhelmed, they become disheartened by it. They keep fighting against the onslaught of evil but at times feel as though they’re losing the battle. Even ‘young men’ grow weary and faint – Isa 40:30 & 31. The ‘young men’ are strong believers, not children in the Faith, who know how to overcome the evil one with the Word of God – 1 John 2:12-14.

What I believe the dream was showing me, is that at such times the weary Christian is to look up to heaven for help, and he will receive it, as did the man in the dream depicted by the shaft of light which came down from heaven containing provision in it to strengthen and reinvigorate him for the battle. Just standing there looking at the ropes is of no use – you have to grab hold of them and use them in the battle. That part makes me think the ropes could be a picture of the weapons of our warfare which are spiritual, not physical; prayer, the Word of God, the Holy Spirit, etc. – Eph. 6:10 – 202 Cor. 10:4, & Rom 13:12  The night is past, and the day is come; let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us clothe ourselves with the weapons of light

I believe the dream is also saying that the only way Christians can hold their own against wickedness and demonic beings constantly warring against them and their faith, is with help from heaven. I believe the dream was sent as an encouragement. The ‘ropes’ wrapped around each other may also represent the “three-fold cord” spoken of in Scripture which is the Father and Son wrapping themselves around the Christian. Scripture tells us that such a cord “is not easily broken!” [Ecclesiastes 4:12] In other words, we don’t have to, and aren’t expected to stand alone in the battle between good and evil – we find strength in union with strong believers and especially with God – Luke 10:1.

While this dream may have been sent for my benefit primarily, I thought it might also be an encouragement for others feeling battle weary at this point in time, which is why I’ve posted it. May it bless you.

Who’s Taken and Who’s Left?

Hear what Jesus says  happens at the end of this age and how the unjust are separated from the just —

Mat 13:47  Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind: 
Mat 13:48  Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away. 
Mat 13:49  So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, 
Mat 13:50  And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. 

Which vessels were “left” in the boat? The “good” ones! The “bad” vessels were “cast away!” Jesus went on to say that this is how it will be at the end of the world. No pre-trib rapture, the “just” aren’t taken up and away, just the opposite, the “just” are LEFT while the “wicked” are “cast into a fiery furnace.”

Joh 15:2  Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. 
Joh 15:6  If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. [1]

Those who don’t abide (remain) in Christ are “cast forth” and gathered by angels (Angels are often called “men” in the bible) who “cast the unfruitful into the fire.” Notice which branches were “taken away” – the unfruitful ones.

Mat 13:27  So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? (darnel or false grain; a metaphor for false believers)
Mat 13:28  He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? 
Mat 13:29  But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. 
Mat 13:30  Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, (angels) Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn. 

Again, the “tares” or false believers are gathered up and bound in bundles to be burned, while the “wheat” or true believers are gathered into Jesus’s barn. Who gets gathered up FIRST? It’s the tares, not the wheat!

Mat 13:36  Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field. 
Mat 13:37  He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; 
Mat 13:38  The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one
Mat 13:39  The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. 
Mat 13:40  As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world
Mat 13:41  The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; 
Mat 13:42  And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. 
Mat 13:43  Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear

In this passage Jesus spells it out plainly – the angels reap the final harvest gathering the unjust FIRST and casting them into the furnace. THEN the righteous shine forth in his father’s kingdom. No Pre-Trib rapture of the saints is evident in this or any of the aforementioned passages.

Mat 24:29  Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: 
Mat 24:30  And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 
Mat 24:31  And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. 

When are the “elect” gathered? IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE TRIBULATION and not before!

1Th 4:14  For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 
1Th 4:15  For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 
1Th 4:16  For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 
1Th 4:17  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 

Here Paul says that those saints still alive at Christ’s coming won’t be “caught up” (taken up) until AFTER the “dead in Christ” arise. This is a very strong passage which states plainly the order in which saints are taken up into the air and which also refutes a Pre-Trib Rapture. How can there be a Pre-Trib Rapture of living saints when ALL God’s saints, dead or alive are taken up TOGETHER at the same time???

I would like to see one bible verse or passage which clearly shows that SOME saints will be taken or caught up to meet the Lord in the air BEFORE the Tribulation period. Anyone who knows of such a verse, please write to me about it. And, I’m not talking about some allegorical interpretation involving the Jewish wedding ceremony by which some have concluded that there is a “catching up” of SOME saints who have proved themselves worthy to escape the Tribulation, while other, carnal believers are “left” behind to suffer through it. I’d love to see just one solid piece of evidence, one sure word of Scripture to back up such interpretations.

Why is this important you might ask? It’s very important to know everything you can about Christ’s Second Coming so that you can be ready to meet Him when He comes. Many I think, will be unprepared, having been lulled to sleep by false shepherds telling them that they will be RAPTURED out of the world BEFORE the Great Tribulation starts. Whoever believes those shepherds and doesn’t search out the Word of God for themselves is going to be DECEIVED thinking that they won’t have to endure that which is coming to “try the WHOLE EARTH” [Rev 3:10].

1Pe 4:12  Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: 
1Pe 4:13  But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. 
1Pe 4:14  If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified. 
1Pe 4:1  Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
2Ti 3:12  Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. 
1Pe 2:20  For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God. 
1Pe 2:21  For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: 
1Th 3:3  That no man should be moved by these afflictions: for yourselves know that we are appointed thereunto
1Th 3:4  For verily, when we were with you, we told you before that we should suffer tribulation; even as it came to pass, and ye know. 
2Ti 3:12  Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution
Mat 10:22  And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved. 

Who shall be SAVED? He that endureth to the END of this Age; who remains faithful to the Lord Jesus Christ while enduring persecution and tribulation.

I wonder how people can ignore the preponderance of scriptural evidence for a Pre-Wrath or Post Tribulation “catching up” of the saints and cling to a Pre-Trib Rapture. Could it be a matter of not wanting to suffer for Christ, of not wanting to bear the shame of the Cross, preferring to live in agreement with the world and in so doing, avoid persecution and tribulation? Truth is, there will be no escaping persecution and tribulation in this world if you’re a true follower of Jesus Christ, for to such we have been called!

Who’s a true and a false Christian, who’s deceived and how to know, taking Communion as a false believer.

As Sodom and Gormorrah

Jer 23:14  I have seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem an horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in lies: they strengthen also the hands of evildoers, that none doth return from his wickedness: they are all of them unto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah. [1-3]

Eze 13:22  Because with lies ye have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, by promising him life

Jer 28:15  Then said the prophet Jeremiah unto Hananiah the prophet, Hear now, Hananiah; The LORD hath not sent thee; but thou makest this people to trust in a lie
Jer 28:16  Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will cast thee from off the face of the earth: this year thou shalt die, because thou hast taught rebellion against the LORD. 

Deu 13:4  Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him. 
Deu 13:5  And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn you away from the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which the LORD thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the evil away from the midst of thee. 

Who are the prophets today? Well, there are actual prophets but even ministers of the Gospel and any believer can prophesy the word of God. A prophet is someone who hears or sees what the will of God is and then speaks it forth. Every minister or pastor also speaks forth the words and will of God, at least they’re supposed to. Therefore, they too have been entrusted by God to faithfully speak forth His word and His will to the people. But, if they don’t speak forth God’s true word they are guilty of speaking LIES in God’s name and leading His people astray.

Dear people of God, isn’t that just what’s happening in many if not most of our churches right now? The ministers or priests and prophets alike are speaking forth LIES in God’s name when they tell people that it’s all right to go on sinning and committing all manner of FORNICATION, including living in perverted sexual relationships, because God is love and therefore He looks the other way! Not so! While it’s true that God is loving and merciful, He is also Holy and will not lower His standards of righteousness for anyone. If God did that, no one would be saved from their sin or from God’s wrath (anger and judgment of impenitent sinners). Psa 19:7  The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. 
Psa 19:8  The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.

Churches are not only allowing sexual perversions in their midst but they’re saying that it’s holy in God’s sight. But they lie, for God’s word says that such unions and relationships are foul and disgusting in His sight calling such acts an Abomination. So when priests or ministers say it’s OK to live in these types of relationships contrary to what God says about them, aren’t these ministers speaking lies? Aren’t they guilty of “teaching rebellion against the Lord,” and “making the people to trust in lies?”

All such ministers “strengthen the hands” of the wicked by promising them life and peace which is contrary to what God says will happen to unrepentant sinners. In Progressive (ultra liberal) churches congregants are led to walk around the sanctuary “wishing” one another PEACE,” sometimes shaking hands and/or hugging. In such churches you hear the terms “love and peace” but never “sin, judgment, or holiness.” They teach a lopsided, soft-bellied, weak-minded God who hasn’t enough pluck to correct His wayward children. What utter poppycock. God is neither weak-minded nor lopsided and definitely WILL send correction to his children, but the impenitent and impudent sinners who flaunt their sin, are going to suffer His wrath unless of course they repent (turn from their sin to right living according to God’s word, not men’s ideas).

God will not be mocked! Whatever a man sows he will reap. Everyone will be rewarded according to his deeds; the righteous will inherit eternal life, the wicked eternal death – Gal 6:7  Do not deceive yourselves; God is not mocked: for whatever a man sows that shall he also reap. 
Gal 6:8  For he that sows to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption, but he that sows in the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap eternal life. 

You ministers are in serious trouble with the Lord if you teach men to rebel against God’s righteous commands. It’s a false sense of security and a false peace that you give them as you tell them their sin will never be punished. If they remain in their sin, “won’t return from their wickedness,” they will suffer the torments of Hellfire and you will too, for teaching them to rebel against God. Repent or else God will remove your lampstand – Rev 2:5  Remember, therefore, from where thou art fallen and repent and do the first works, or else I will come unto thee quickly and will remove thy lampstand out of its place, except thou repent. 

The world is definitely going mad and so too are many of God’s ministers and prophets who claim to speak for God but who speak lies in His name. They have become as Sodom and Gomorrah in His sight.

What’s the Lie of 2 Thess. 2:11?

 

In the end times Jesus warned that that many would believe “a lie,” what was that lie? Could it be that the lie is “once saved always saved?” The way it works is that if you say a prayer inviting Jesus into your heart, no matter how you live after that, you’ll bypass God’s Judgment and go to heaven when you die. Could the ‘eternal security’ or ‘once saved always saved’ doctrine be the “lie” of which Jesus spoke?

I think it is, because there are more than 3 witnesses (scriptures) in the Bible which clearly state that if/when one forsakes (abandons) the Lord, He in turn will forsake that person. Here they are —

2Ch 15:2  And he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The LORD is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you

2Ch 24:20  And the Spirit of God came upon Zechariah the son of Jehoiada the priest, which stood above the people, and said unto them, Thus saith God, Why transgress ye the commandments of the LORD, that ye cannot prosper? because ye have forsaken the LORD, he hath also forsaken you

1Ch 28:9  And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever

Jdg 2:11 – 14  And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD, and served Baalim: And they forsook the LORD God of their fathers, which brought them out of the land of Egypt, and followed other gods, of the gods of the people that were round about them, and bowed themselves unto them, and provoked the LORD to anger. And they forsook the LORD, and served Baal and Ashtaroth. And the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel, and he delivered them into the hands of spoilers that spoiled them, and he sold them into the hands of their enemies round about, so that they could not any longer stand before their enemies. 

If those verses aren’t enough to convince you, consider that in the Garden of Eden when the Serpent was tempting Adam and Eve, what did he promise them?

He promised them that if they ate of the forbidden fruit, they would not only gain knowledge of good and evil, but that they would NOT die as Yehovah had warned them —-

Gen 3:1 – 5  Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil

Now compare that passage with the following New Testament passage —

2Th 2:2 & 3  That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 

2Th 2:7 – 12  For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. 

For the sake of those who don’t know who the Restrainer is, it’s Michael the Archangel. Right after Michael is ”taken out of the way” (stops holding back iniquity) that Wicked one will be revealed to the world. Also, notice that the “day of Christ” cannot be “at hand” (immanent!) UNTIL the Anti-Christ is revealed. Once the Anti-Christ is revealed to the world, THEN Christ’s coming is immanent, but not before.

What is the “strong delusion?” Feminine of G4108 (as abstraction); objectively fraudulence; subjectively a straying from orthodoxy or piety: – deceit, to deceive, delusion, error. [Strong’s] 2a1) error, wrong opinion relative to morals or religion; 2b) error which shows itself in action, a wrong mode of acting; 2c) error, that which leads into error, deceit or fraud [Thayer’s Greek Definitions]

The LIE then has something to do with deceit, fraud (fraudulent teaching perhaps?), wrong opinion re morals or religion, error — AND PAY SPECIAL ATTENTION TO THIS DEFINITION —- and “straying from orthodoxy and piety.

Dear reader, isn’t that exactly where the Church at large is today? Could you honestly say that it hasn’t STRAYED from orthodoxy and piety? Piety is the quality of being religious or reverent.

Orthodoxy is (from Greek ὀρθοδοξία orthodoxía “right opinion”) is adherence to correct or accepted creeds, especially in religion. In the Christian sense the term means “conforming to the Christian faith as represented in the creeds of the early church.” [1]

  1. Adhering to the accepted or traditional and established faith, especially in religion.
  2. Adhering to the Christian faith as expressed in the early Christian ecumenical creeds. [2] 

Orthodoxy is the belief in the standards of accepted and true doctrines taught in the Bible. That which is orthodox agrees with Biblical teaching and the interpretation of the Christian Church. [3]

Over several decades I’ve seen the Church “stray” from the “reverence” of God and His Word, and from the sound doctrines of the faith, which have been taught and accepted for many centuries. What has brought this about is the “mystery of iniquity” which has been “at work” since the Fall of Mankind in the Garden of Eden. Just what is the “mystery of iniquity?” For those who haven’t studied the Bible, it is the “condition of being without law, because of being ignorant of it, or violating it; it is “contempt and violation of law, also wickedness.” [Thayer’s Greek Def.] From G459; illegality, that is, violation of law or (generally) wickedness: – iniquity, X transgress (-ion of) the law, unrighteousness. [Strong’s]

The Church has strayed from orthodoxy by adopting ‘new’ doctrines (beliefs) and practices unsupported by Scripture and not preaching against ‘sin’ anymore in their services. At the same time, churches show little to no ‘reverence’ for God as they thumb their noses at God’s precious Law – His Torah or teachings in both Old and New Testaments. I’ve seen congregants in many churches treat the holy things of God ‘lightly’ which shows irreverence towards them! Real believers show ‘respect’ for God, His true ministers, and for His Word (all of it!). True believers don’t treat the holy things of God lightly but “tremble” at His words and show respect for His Presence in and among them. Yahweh has left many churches because of their stubborn refusal to heed His commands and correction – 

Pro 1:23 – 36  Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you. Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded; But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof: I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;  When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you. Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me: For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD: They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof. Now, I will put it all together for you. The “lie” being told believers in these last days, is akin to the lie Satan told Eve in the Garden – that they can disobey God’s law and not die (eternally) as a result! Since the Fall, men are born having a natural bent towards “going their own way” falsely believing that they can live independently from God and not suffer negative consequences for it. Yahweh God makes it very clear throughout the bible, that disobedience to His commands carries penalties, even everlasting death. Men who don’t see this are blinded by their lust.

1Co 6:9 -10 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God

The following passage describes those who in the blindness of their lusts ARE DECEIVED into thinking that they SHALL HAVE PEACE despite “walking according to the “IMAGINATION OF THEIR HEARTS” —-

Deu 29:19  And it come to pass, when he heareth the words of this curse, that he bless himself in his heart, saying, I shall have peace, though I walk in the imagination of mine heart, to add drunkenness to thirst: 

Notice what the LORD says will happen to him who does this —

Deu 29:20  The LORD will not spare him, but then the anger of the LORD and his jealousy shall smoke against that man, and all the curses that are written in this book shall lie upon him, and the LORD shall blot out his name from under heaven. 

Compare with Rom 1:18  For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Rom 1:24 – 27 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:  Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. 

Notice in the first verse the word “lie” is pertaining to “changing the truth of God” or exchanging that truth for a lie — “changed, change, or changing” From G3326 and G236; to exchange: – change. Also, “to make different” [Strong’s] “truth” 1b) what is true in things appertaining to God and the duties of man, moral and religious truth [Thayer’s Def.]

Dear reader, isn’t that what many churches are doing today, changing and or exchanging God’s truth for men’s opinions, even adopting the doctrines of devils??

1Ti 4:1 & 2 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; 

In case you were wondering, a conscience seared with a hot iron (or cauterized) is no longer sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s conviction or influence, and is therefore no longer able to distinguish between good and evil – opposite from what Satan promised Adam and Eve in the Garden!!

See what a LIAR Satan is? He promised Adam and Eve that if they partook of his forbidden knowledge they would know both good and evil like God did. That word “know” is “yada” which has a broad variety of applications, one of which is to be able to DISTINGUISH between one thing and another!  [Brown-Driver-Briggs Heb. Def.’s] I suggest you look the term up for yourself and get used to doing that, so you can “rightly divide” (interpret) the Word of God.

Satan LIED big time to Adam and Eve when he tempted them in the Garden of Eden. Satan actually told them two lies, the first being that if they partook of the forbidden knowledge or fruit, they wouldn’t die. The second lie was that not only would they not die, but they would be like God, able to distinguish for themselves (without God’s input) what’s good from what’s evil – (Gen. 3:5).

But you see, when men stray from God’s instructions and persist in going their own way, they eventually become insensitive to God’s voice so they can no longer hear Him. Their consciences become “seared” (cauterized) or hardened so they cannot respond to the Holy Spirit’s leading, and are lost. This can even happen to a born again believer who “falls away” —

Luk 8:11 – 14  Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.  They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.  And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection. 

Heb 6:4 – 6 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. 

Far too many in the church today treat God and His Word “lightly” and in some cases, with disdain. They do this by “changing” or exchanging God’s words with lies, and by making themselves the ultimate authority on what’s right and what’s wrong. In essense ungodly men end up worshiping themselves (the creature) instead of the Creator – Rom 1:25.

Many have made or are making the fatal choice to “go their own way,” thus rejecting God’s instructions, commands, and laws. They’ve been deceived by their own lusts and by Satan into believing that they don’t need God or His law, that they can go it alone and be just fine.

Dear reader I strongly urge you to take stock of your life in light of God’s holy Word to see if your words and actions line up with its precepts or not. If not, the time to change that is now, not tomorrow, for tomorrow may be too late –  Luk 12:20  But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee….

Don’t be fooled by Satan, or blinded by your own lusts, the Day of the Lord’s wrath will come! Don’t wait until that day to repent of your rebellion against God’s law, for it will be too late then – Rev 22:11  He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. There comes a time when the opportunity for repentance runs out – Luk 13:25  When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are: 

False dependence on Church privileges –

In the eyes of Him who “seeth not as man seeth,” who readeth the heart and weigheth actions in the balances of the sanctuary, the worker of iniquity is not only the man who disregards religion and commits open wickedness; but also he who, if he avoid certain sins, avoids them not because he fears God or is constrained by Christ’s love, and who, if motives were analyzed, would be found to have regard to the good opinion of the world, rather than to the will and the glory of Him who called him into being.

You must search your hearts. You must see whether God be first in your hearts; whether your great fear be the fear of offending Him—your great desire, the desire of pleasing Him; whether “old things have passed away,” and “new things”—new tendencies, new upon outward privileges. “The kingdom of God is within you.”

I do not depreciate the means of grace. The “workers of iniquity” may be those who delight in sermons and never miss a sacrament.” “There are multitudes who will go a long way towards heaven and then stop short. They will give up everything but one thing for Christ, and therefore are they near heaven; but they keep that one, and therefore must they be excluded at the last. Almost believers upon earth, they are almost guests at the marriage-supper above.

I would that this might warn you; that this might startle you. If there are any of you who are resting on outward duties and privileges, and have not given your hearts to the Lord, oh! do not shrink from self-examination; be not afraid to know the worst. The “Master of the house” hath not yet “risen up and shut to the door.” You may still secure for yourselves admission at the last. (H. Melvill, B. D. ) [The Biblical Illustrator]

Sobering words, I know, but necessary in light of the times we’re living in. I pray you won’t ignore or treat lightly these warnings in God’s Word but will hear them and be saved from His wrath when He comes to judge the whole earth. Rev 16:15  Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame. (The meaning here is, that, as Christians are clothed with the garments of righteousness, they should not lay them aside, so that their spiritual nakedness should be seen. – Albert Barnes’ Notes on the Bible) Heb 10:26&27  For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. 

The “lie” spoken of in 2 Thessalonians 11, is that a person can keep on sinning after receiving knowledge of the truth (God’s Word) and still go to heaven – the eternal security, once saved always saved (false) doctrine! It’s akin to the “lie” Satan told Adam and Eve in the Garden, “You shall not die.” Don’t fall for it!

May the FEAR OF GOD return to the Church before the Day of His Wrath comes.

Dense Darkness & Resurrection-Rapture Dream

In this dream I was wandering about, crying and praying very hard due to the deep darkness enveloping everything around. The darkness was so dense I could barely see, but heard people crying and calling out to God in much distress and perplexity. Like me they were wailing, “How long is this going to last?” Then I saw many souls rise up from the ground with their arms lifted upwards as they flew away into the sky. Their forms were all white, what we often refer to as ‘ghosts’ which are the spirits of people who have died. In the dream an angel put an all white gown or tunic on me and told me to wait for the others. There the dream ended or that’s all I remembered when I woke up.

I had this dream in either 1975 or 76 as I was getting ‘saved,’ but never shared or posted it anywhere, until now. As with other significant dreams and events, I wrote the dream down in my journal. I wasn’t sure but thought it might have been a sneak preview of the Resurrection and simultaneous Rapture of believers. Please note that I don’t hold a Pre-Trib. Rapture position as I believe the Scriptures best support a Mid-Trib. or Pre-Wrath Rapture [1] which is going to occur AFTER the Resurrection of the Righteous Dead

1Th 4:15 – 17, For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain to the coming of the Lord shall not precede them who are asleep. For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Do you see it? The “dead in Christ” arise FIRST, THEN those in Christ who are alive when He appears. The First Resurrection (of the Just) and the Rapture of the living saints happen simultaneously, meaning one right after the other, or at least there’s a very short time lapse between these two events.

The Left Behind book and movie series has given Christians a false hope about escaping the Antichrist and the tumultuous Great Tribulation just ahead of us. This erroneous teaching has caused many Christians to believe in a pre-tribulation rapture that will not come to pass. Many will be disillusioned and fall away at that time. However, there is a biblical way of escape that offers real hope, but it’s not the pre-tribulation rapture! – [1]

How wonderful it is to be a blood-bought child of God; those who put their trust in God, live according to His Word, and have been “washed in the Blood of the Lamb (Jesus)” have a glorious future in His Eternal Kingdom. How terrifying and awful it will be for those who refuse Christ’s gracious offer of Salvation and as a result will be cast into the blazing furnace of Hell – Rev 20:15 And whoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Related Scriptures – Luke 21:25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Luke 21:26 Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for apprehension of those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

God means every word He’s ever spoken! Now is the only time you have to choose where you’ll be spending eternity. “Choose Life, not death,” said Yahweh. Obey God’s laws and make Jesus your Lord and savior – today! You must be Born Again to be a child of God. EXPLOSIONS DREAM

MARCH 23, 2019

Upon awakening this morning I instantly recalled this dream in which I heard consecutive explosions outside the building I and a few other people were in. The explosions came at intervals every few minutes and they were loud. I knew that they were not caused by natural phenomena but were of human origin, most likely bombs being dropped from the air.

I heard a man announcing that everyone was to stay indoors and not go near any windows or doors. He was also telling people that if they gave their allegiance to the powers that be, they would be spared and taken away from the holocaust [1] to a safe place, otherwise they would be left to endure it. The announcer was one of the soldiers or national guardsmen (wearing camouflage uniforms) who were putting people into some kind of large vehicles, trucks I believe, to be taken away somewhere [3]. I saw a civilian man hurriedly stepping into one of them.  

Since the atmosphere outside was filled with thick dark smoke and debris from the explosions, I wasn’t able to physically see what was going on, but saw it all with my spiritual sight.

While this was taking place, I was standing inside a large building of some sort. A man was lying near the crack beneath a door, and I asked a woman standing nearby why he was doing that as wouldn’t he be breathing in some of the smoke seeping in from outside, and wouldn’t that be dangerous for him? She didn’t know why, and all I could think was that maybe he wanted to see and/or hear what was going on outside.

At that point, the Asian-looking woman standing nearby who I had just spoken to suggested that we go deeper into the building to hide. So she and I went to a higher floor to a room where she had been staying. Oddly, all the walls in that place, including the walls and bedding in her room were a soft white color. Her bedding was a bit askew. I had some snack food with me which consisted of just a cereal bar (I think) and a piece of fruit or something; that plus the clothing I had on is all I took with me. I was glad I had the snack food and although it wouldn’t last long, it was something at least. (Maybe having only a small amount of food meant that the holocaust wouldn’t last very long, or that more food would be provided once it was gone? I know my Lord will always provide for my needs and I don’t believe that he would allow me to starve).

In the dream I felt some alarm but also felt that the woman and I would be safe inside the building until the event was over. No time frame was given for this event. ~ Debra 

 

Commentary:

What was the dream about? Possibly, a conflagration of some sort is coming in which I’ll be protected and provided for, along with my friend, whoever she is. Perhaps her being Asian is a hint that an Asian country, or people, is somehow involved?

I think it’s interesting that the soldiers were offering “safety” in exchange for a pledge of allegiance to a civil authority. That has a familiar ring to it does it not? It immediately brought to my mind that bible passage about “peace and safety” [2]. Note that some civilians were being ‘taken’ away while others were left, which reminds me of a bible passage in Matthew [3].  At the same footnote is a link to two videos offering a different view of this than what’s commonly heard, and is worth considering. Is there a possibility that we’ve misunderstood the meaning of  passages about those who are “taken” and those who are “left?” The Gospel of Luke 17:35-37 suggests that those “taken” away are killed and eaten by the eagles or technically, VULTURES. Thayer Definition: 1) an eagle: since eagles do not usually go in quest of carrion, this may refer to a vulture that resembles an eagle, 2) an eagle as a standard (Roman Military)

It’s a fact that nations are already exchanging their sovereignty and freedoms for a promise of “peace and safety” provided for of course, by the civil authorities! Americans have forfeited many of their rights and freedoms by allowing the civil authorities to take them away through various legislation like the Patriot and Homeland Security Acts, and others [4-5]. Benjamin Franklin, one of our Founding Fathers said, Those who would give up Essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.”

What I find equally interesting is that some of the key provisions of the Patriot Act are due to EXPIRE at the end of this year (2019), at which time congress will vote on what to do about them.

The 2015 update, made in the wake of the Edward Snowden disclosures about the extent of U.S. capture of bulk communications data, curbed the collection by the National Security Agency of bulk metadata. That update is scheduled to sunset in December, and one tech-minded member on the House Judiciary committee told FCW he wants the new Democratic majority to take another look at potential reforms to the law. [6]

Why haven’t we heard about this in the news? Maybe some of you have? I know that I have not. In light of finding this out, I suspect that my dream may in part be a type of foreknowledge about the upcoming battle in Washington re voting on certain provisions of the Patriot Act before December 2019, when they expire. It should be made a matter for prayer starting now until congress votes on those provisions in December. Dear Body of Christ, these matters of law affect us all, and prayer is our strongest weapon against tyranny.

Last night just before retiring I heard two words: “Hasmonean dialect.” I didn’t understand but thought it might be important so I wrote it down and forgot about it. I had also been very heavy hearted for several hours but didn’t know why (sometimes sudden inexplicable heaviness of spirit is a call to intercession) and I couldn’t stop crying until it lifted. For some reason I decided to look up Hasmonean dialect after writing this dream down today. Now I wonder if it has any connection to the dream which followed during the night, since that dialect is related to Jews originating in Central Asia [7]; the woman in my dream was Asian. If that is the case, the dream may be a call to pray for them and/or to avert a war in that region which might affect or be directed at the roughly 6, 500 of them now living in Asia. They may not seem important to some, but to God they are. Seeing how they’re of Israel, maybe from one of the Lost Tribes, God would want to protect and keep them through tribulation.

Among Bukharan Jews, there are two ancient theories of how Jewish people settled in Central Asia. One theory is that Bukharan Jews may be descended from the Tribe of Naphtali and the Tribe of Issachar of the Lost Tribes of Israel[7] who may have been exiled during the Assyrian captivity of Israel in the 7th century BCE.[8]

God may want America to provide for them somehow, maybe help them immigrate to Israel or America. As I was pondering this ancient Jewish population in Asia, I wondered if immigration laws might be the link between them and the dream since those laws could make it difficult for persecuted Jews (and Christians) to get out of places where they’re being persecuted and immigrate to countries where they’ll be safe. Did you know that not so long ago our government refused to allow persecuted Christians into the USA?

Even as U.S. policies continue to lead to massacres of Christian communities throughout the Middle East, members of those communities are having a difficult time escaping the destruction.

“Christians are being refused refugee status and face persecution and many times certain death for their religious beliefs under … sharia, while whole Muslim communities are entering the US by the tens of thousands per month despite the fact that they face no religious persecution,” noted Pamela Geller, executive director of the American Freedom Defense Initiative and of Stop Islamization of America.

But how could the situation have become so dire? While not all analysts agree, at the very least, it has become clear that the fate of Christians and Christianity is low on the U.S. government’s agenda. And without an outcry, that is unlikely to change.

“Our government’s policies in the Middle East are a reflection of our government’s policies at home. The war on Christianity in public life here at home in the schools and courthouses is manifested in the Middle East with the destruction of Christianity in the nations where we have been interfering,” said CEO Art Thompson of The John Birch Society, citing Iraq, Egypt, Libya, and other nations.

As predicted by innumerable experts, imposing “democracy” in Muslim-majority countries has been a disaster for Christians. Asked for an example of U.S. foreign policy benefiting Christians, a senior official with the USCIRF could not name one. Christianity has managed to survive in the Middle East for 2,000 years without U.S. government intervention. But if current trends continue, the religion of Christ could very well be eradicated in the region of its birth within the next few decades. And unfortunately, America will bear at least part of the responsibility. [8]

Do you realize that last paragraph is an indictment against American foreign policy which is covertly contributing to the extermination of Christians and Christianity throughout the world, according to many experts? Body of Christ, we need to pray for our persecuted brethren! I highly recommend Pamela Geller’s website, the American Freedom Defense Initiative, and Stop Islamization of America [9] as a place to start educating yourself about this ongoing holocaust, the extermination of Christians and Jews by those who hate them both. Besides praying for them, we can support organizations which expose the ongoing holocaust with our dollars, along with those elected officials who defend the religious rights of Christians and Jews. We can keep raising our voices against religious persecution of Christians and Jews around the world. We have collective power, it’s just that we’ve been bullied into silence and submission by slick-talking politicians who put their personal interests first. It’s time we show some “hutzpah” and pester them until they heed our demands! [10]
